Today we didn't have any dangerous action on construction plays, we only had on corner or individual rush like the Bolasie action. We need player who can build in the middle and not only destroyers like Dikagoi. => Guedioura would be very useful, he has technical skill, long distance shoot and capacity to grab balls. => and of course Chamakh is necessary on the offensive front. some photos i took this afternoon

Can't believe some on here are insinuating they'd like to get rid of TP! I tell you what, if the board chose differently we could have had an 'R' next to our name in a couple of weeks...

I am sorry Mr.Pulis but I do not agree with your belief " we did alright and competed ". Probably one of the worse home games this season with the exception of the Fulham match. We had no mid-field and with the exception of Murray and to some extent Bolasie nobody seemed to put in a complete shift up front. You can no longer play KG if you want us to believe we can stay up so lets go back to the drawing boards and rebuild our mid-field before we go north.
A silly mistake for the goal yes but the gulf that separated the sides was massive and the disappointing thing was that was down to us being awful as much as them being a good side I disagree. Thought we competed well with probably the best side outside of 'big' five or six.

Had it been a 0-0 draw, we would have been a lot more optimistic - clean sheet and picked up a point. Fact is, puncheon made a mistake and we were punished - at this level, at this moment of the season we need every player switched on - from start to finish, with every kick and movement they need to be 100% committed and aware of what they are doing and what is around them. Like the penalties at Spurs/Man U, like the poor defensive clearances like today and against stoke, those 5 moments of madness where we shut down after the half time break - we will get punished. With Pulis he has turned things around - but the way the game is, the speed, the attention to detail, these players really need to earn the fortune they are paid. If it is true that Punch is a sensitive guy, is he really the one we need in a relegation scrap? Compared to say a hungry home grown talent (Stu O'K as example). While i'm at it, Holloway is muppet, look at who he signed - Kebe, Phillips, McCarthy, Marange, Grandin - come on now - if we had picked up 4 points more from his terrible spell, look where we would be. Palace is a frustrating team to support - but i love 'em Delany, playing with a broken nose - Speroni still on form, Ward being class..

Moxey stumbled as he couldn't put in the full challenge because we all know he definitely would of walked if Rodriguez had gone down, therefore he was unable to get back. Punch didn't need to head it back, he could of turned to his left and played it out to the player that was wide of him ten yards back. Speroni should of been stronger, but again players have to make a split second decision and if the attacker goes down in the right way we have our keeper sent off. No one did it on purpose though, but trying to play error free for the whole 90 minutes without giving the opposition anything to worry about is very risky and works less times than you think.

i didnt think we did that badly...we had a really good 10 minute spell of good pressure in the 1st half which completely summed up our season in front of goal thusfar! southampton are a very good team...and we wernt turned over, instead beaten by a decent counter attack, which was aided by ourselves. were now in the buisness end of the season, i can see us getting enough points to stay up (35?) and we still only been turned over once against fulham. i feel we did compete...just we were beaten by a better team.

But, yet again, we didn't pick up any bonus points against one of the better teams in the league.

I thought we lack ideas and were second best all over the pitch. We waited for the ball to come to us rather than close players down. KG is a waste of space and is one of the reasons we are in the position we are in. His inclusion in a "Worst Premier League team" says it all, with an average of one tackle per game (none yesterday!)
Let's keep the ball this season! |

For me this was the most frustrating game I've watched all season. I cannot understand the team selection considering we were a home. If Chamach had not been injured, he obviously would have played, so why not replace him with an attacking/creative midfielder. We were crying out for someone like Bannon or Ince playing behind Murray. Personaly I think Southampton were there for the taking today, and I'm really disappointed we didn't get something from the game....................and don't even get me started on Puncheon

...at the start of this season if we we were offered the position we find ourselves in all of you would be down the pub and pissed, more worryingly would of been a three or four nil beating, even when we play disjointedly we keep ourselves clinging on till the death, keeps our chances of survival doing the same.

Worth the wait.
Pulis has worked wonders to get us where we are, don't forget that.

I beg to differ, Premiership = £60m p/a. Championship = £2m p/a. I know which one I'd prefer.
