What a magnificent servant the man has been but sadly the signing of Hennesey was the writing on the wall. There is no way we would pay £3 million for a goalkeeper to sit on the bench and TP clearly sees Hennesey as the future.

I will be gutted to see Jules leave. It will be the end of an era but don't underestimate how good Hennesey is. He is a quality keeper who will only get better.

For what it's worth I think Jules deserves a 2 year contract at least.

I hope you're right.

The Wolves fans after reading this [Link] have put me in doubt though.

90 per cent of them posting don't give a sh1te he is leaving and can't believe they are getting £3m for him.

Which makes it even more important Jules stays.

Didn't he refuse to turn out for them? He's hardly going to get references from the Wolves fans after that?

Strange thing to do though!!!!

Legend. It'll be a sad day if he leaves.

I would imagine the club is waiting to see where we are. With other players, I could see them viewing this as a lack of respect or willing, but I think if anyone understands the club taking care with finances, it's Jules. Since our last stint in the Prem, he's been here through thick and thin, and I would bet Parish and Co are simply waiting to see what league we are before handing out contract offers.

What a man, and what a magnificent servant. Real Madrid might have King Iker, but we have the crown Jules!

He will be offered a contract. A few players are out of contract this summer and neither player or club want to negotiate properly until we know what league we'll be playing in next season.

Right now I suspect there is a Championship contract and a Premiership contract sitting in SP's office waiting to be presented when we know where we are.

Yep, this...

2 year contract he deserves that for his loyalty alone not to mention performance. Then employ him as goalkeeping
coach. Steve Parish and co have pretty much got everthing right but not to have offered a living legend a new contract is shocking , come on SP get it sorted NOW

Sounds very likely. It'll be the end of an era when he goes. Do players still get testimonials ? He should and I'd definitely get along to that.

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue

Van Der Sar played for United until 40.
Jules could do it as well.
He is in great shape and was faithful to the club when things were not looking good.
Remember?
They took 10 points from us and Jordan left a "chaos"
A legend to be kept as a player for a few more years then GK coaching.
Jules is Palace!
Pulis & Paris, come on sing with us...
You say that you love him...
You say that you need him...

If we stay up he will IMO be offered a lucrative 2 year deal. If however we don't then they will not have 2 keepers on massive wages on long term contracts.
Jules is a ledge a completely humble man true ambassador
for Palace. They should be looking at Real Madrid for a testimonial.

I said exactly this a couple of weeks ago to someone who knows Speroni very well and speaks to him many times a week. He agreed with this in the way you know it's been discussed already. I even mentioned the 'testimonial' word and that has also been in Speroni's thoughts as well.

It'll make good sense for Pulis as well. Have 2 keepers already here for 2 seasons or more without having to use the transfer kitty on transfer fees, signing on fees and agent fees for another one.

What happened to our policy of not letting player's contracts run down?

It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
