How many of our new so called 'plastics' where at Sheffield Wednesday on that famous day in May 2010.
I do love being in the premier league but being in that near 5000 strong crowd going mental at the end is what being a palace fan is all about.

I agree with Bubble Wrap i won't be that gutted if we do go down as the Championship is exciting and we will get the hardcore fans only at away games.

I don't see the point of this thread.

Maybe just direct this to anyone who joined this website post May 2013, even then, who really cares? Every club wants more fans.

I wasn't at THAT Sheff Wed game but I was at Sheff Wed when we lost 4-1 under Alan Smith - disgraceful.
I got the tram from the 'Hilton' where I was staying and purchased a 'Day rider' ticket whilst my wife and daughter went shopping in the 'Meadowhall' .I would have been better off going with them !

I wasn't there, though I was outside Lloyd's a few days later!

I was also at the fa cup final and reply in 1990, the Zenith Data System Final and both the 2004 and 2013 play off finals

I also have only had a season ticket for this season - though I purchased it at the earliest opportunity last season. I will not be renewing my ticket for next year regardless of the league as due to a change in circumstances (see signature) I can no longer devote every other weekend to my love of this team.

Does that make me a plastic, seriously does going to one - albeit important - away game make you a better fan than me!

On the 24th December 2013 my life changed forever. Miss you

Hoof Hearted 15 Feb 14 11.41am

I wasn't there, but I went to an away game in Southend on a Friday night in the old 3rd division in the 70's.

Am I plastic?

I was there. Tried getting a cab after to Bramall lane where i was staying in their hotel. Was told to fu-k off you cockney c-nt, probably a wed supporter upset at having to work instead of watching his team getting relegated.
Walked the 7 miles to Bramall lane with my head down and not a clue where the f-ck i was couldn't ask for directions so winged it big time.
Had a lovely lady eagerly awaiting my return in the room. Told her i think its best we don't go out in the town that night and also suggested to a few guys from Essex they do same as they was up for the final at the Crucible for the snooker, and their accents might get them into trouble.
They thought better of my suggestion and proceeded to go out on the town. saw the same guys for breakfast. ! had a broken arm 1 a broken nose and 1 had both eyes blackened. The last 1 was unscathed, obviously had a faster pair of claires on.
Went home extremely happy on the next day

Mate you've only been on here since August !! Are you one of these so called 'plastics' ? I was there and it was indeed immense, have never been so nervous. But anyone is welcome to turn up and be a Palace fan as long as they back the lads and help the atmosphere. I'm loving the place being full every week.

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue

Incidentally I was also at a cracking game v Luton in about 1983 or something when it finished 3-3 and Neil Smillie bagged a brace.

But who actually gives a flying fvck ??

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
