Good luck with it, it's nice to see someone trying to get things going. Unfortunately I think you may struggle a bit, just with the stand dynamics and the fact it's the Family Stand (I think that's right, I know there's a family section in the Main Stand by the tunnel now too). A group being together is the only way forward I think as that is what I feel is key to the Holmesdale Fanatics, others around them then joining in and of course the drum is very important.

I feel sorry for those in the Whitehorse as you're furthest away from the Holmesdale and it can't be easy to join in when you've got the Away fans now on one side and the Main Stand (who are almost silent song wise, or it certainly sounds like it) on the other side.

The atmosphere has been even better this year, maybe it just depends on where you stand/sit but it only really feels like half the lower tier and then sometimes the Arthur who ever really get going though. It's the rest of the lower tier who need to get singing as well really, then the Main Stand might join in more and the ground can get really loud. But the general population of the Main Stand is a different type of fan, no offence but I reckon there's plenty or Thermos flasks being opened at half time!

I think moving the away fans down the other end a few seasons back has killed the banter completely but I can see why they did it, as the very little trouble there ever was appears to have gone and the club saves more money on policing inside the ground.

It's a cost/work thing for a lot of people but I think most people who go away will agree the atmosphere we can create is outstanding and has really got Palace noticed this season. I was ready to sing 'stand in the rain and stand in the sun' especially last night, even if it was just the second half we made, but boy was that a long and disappointing 11 hours on the coach!

The main stand is perfect for a type of fan

Everyone needs their place in the stadium to enjoy the game the way they want to.
Main stand for those that want to enjoy the game in peace, whitehorse for the families, AW and Holmesdale for those looking to create a more intense atmosphere

My point exactly, the Holmesdale and AW will be the only stands who really make any noise because of the 'stereopypical' type of fan in them!

There's a wee bit of singing in the upper tier as well (not nearly as much as the lower). I don't go as often as most of you guys but there's been a fairly decent amount of singing at more than half the games I've been to in the upper. Blocks K, L and M mainly as they pick up some of the sound from block B. I think at the Swansea game there was a guy stood right at the front of the stand sort of conducting those in the upper tier to join in with block B which worked really well. Seem to be a few guys that stand along the back of the upper tier as well having a bit of a sing song. Presumably they know no one is going to tell them to sit down back there!

So after much consideration and consultation it was decided that the name of the group was a bit naff lol. So it is now just simply we're the whitehorse. Thanks for all the support and comments though

The group is not about turning the Whitehorse end into a copy of B Block, it's about them turning into it's own thing, with a little taste of B block. I know from when I was in AW & the family part of the main stand my son looked in awe at the fanatics. It's about giving the youngsters a taste of the atmosphere that is in B block & that the Whitehorse end used to have back in the day. The admin of the group is trying to create a non library atmosphere and we should support that. In fact every stand and every block should be making an effort shouldn't we? Imagine a Selhurst Park that every seat is filled with a loud support, it would be a ground any rival would fear to come to. The TV & papers talk about our support now, imagine what levels it could be? If you want to sit in silence to watch a game then watch it on telly, if you want to create an atmosphere like no other then get stuck in & join in. EEEEEEAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGLLLLLLLEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!

Big mistake to drop the name imo.Got a great ring to it and without a nickname just think you will be a few blokes trying to create an atmosphere rather than a group which will attract members and a following.'Fury Fury give us a wave'.Brilliant.

Great idea guys and good luck with this. It would be great looking from the Holmsdale to see a fantastic display.

If you get any negative comments just ignore the to@@ers.

How about getting the Executive boxes to assist with your display to help you drape under the boxes for the entire length of the Whitehorse 😄

They wont allow it,me and a few mates draped a banner against leeds and stewards told us to remove it,they had it on camera.
Health and safety?

Would be awesome if we could expand on the displays the Holmesdale create to include Whitehorse, AW, and Home. How intimidating for away teams.

Yes 74 members unfortunately not all whitehorse st holders. In a matter of time yes we could have displays but for now i just want to get people of their backsides make a little noise and encourage the younger generation to be vocal in their support. We will get there may take a couple of years but who knows would be great for four walls of sound imagine how that would sound.

We've all suffered from flatulence on occasion.

Lots of kids in this end. Let them see the game please.

I have kids who attend the game with me. Also as previously stated this is also aimed at raising the enjoyment levels for those kids. They can feel part of something on a matchday. It will ne no where near as intimidating as the hf on a matchday. The admin of the group is only 16 also so she wont be doinganything too wrong. This is for the good of everyone mate

Ha Ha. You've got a way with words.
