Got the odds on Jules scoring from a GoalKick?

sorry to rain on your parade.....BUT, a goalie CANNOT score from a goalkick

Just saying....

They can if they kick from hands though right? And the betting shop probably still offers reasonable odds on Jules scoring regardless of how he does it. Let's all bet on Jules.

Knowing my luck, Hennessey will start....

YES, they can PTJ

Tho, doesn't Jules tend to kick right to left? Good luck with your bet & personally, I cant see Hennessy starting as its too big a game for us.

In Jules we trust(& not just for the 'odds')

Weird, Jules has shorter odds than Wilbraham...

The odds are on Jules scoring, but at what end? With a gale force in his face he could score an own goal from a goal kick! Bit like 'bend it like Beckham'.
Seroiuswly tho', I really do think the game will be off as Liverpool is slap bang in the middle of the 'red zone' for high winds. With a crowd of 35,000, someone getting hit by a piece of blown-off stand is quite likely. Pity as I'm looking forward to a Palace win tonight and think there is a good chance of it.

Erm, no he couldn't...

Hearing the M6 is closed in places due to high winds. Could affect people travelling to the game tonight.

The M6 going from North Staffs into Cheshire is a very, very open stretch of motorway. Even a small amount of wind can really jolt your vehicle. Unsurprising they've closed parts of that off. Where I live the weather is atrocious right now, but then again it's always atrocious here so this for me ranks as 'marginally more s*** that usual'. You'd still get a Premiership match on here no problem, mind.

Bilko's right:

Law 16 - the goal-kick

A goal kick is a method of restarting play.

A goal kick is awarded when the whole of the ball passes over the goal line, either on the ground or in the air, having last touched a player of the attacking team, and a goal is not scored in accordance with Law 10.

A goal may be scored directly from a goal kick, but only against the opposing team.

[Link]

That is not correct, a keeper who takes a goal kick can not touch the ball again before another player friend or foe.

A keeper can concede from his own goal kick providing the officials are convinced the ball first exited the Penalty area, as when the ball is fully over the penalty box line it is deemed "in play", from then on the keeper can not touch it again until another player has touched it, if the keeper touches it first it's an indirect free kick.

If the ball does not exit the penalty box from the goal kick the kick is not taken fully, and the kick has to be retaken in the same way as when a player touches the ball from the goal kick before it crosses the penalty box line.

By a goal kick I meant a kick from the goalie. He could score then ALA Pat Jennings.
