Typical Wet Spam reaction.

They are a team on the decline and Sam Alardarse is doing a great job leading them to oblivion.

I don't like the drum, but love the way our fans continually get behind our lads come what may.

sorry, coming from a team who are taking a red card to their main man to court because they havent any other game other than lumping it miles up the field to him. Give us a break... Big club, yes they are, but less braincells between them all compared to a host of dead seagulls...

There really not. There are so many bigger clubs in the country then them. Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Stoke, Leeds, Sheff Weds and UTD, UTD, Liverpool, Everton, Villa, Newcastle, Sunderland, City, Birmingham, Southampton. Truth is they aint much bigger then us, they have had a lot more success granted but in terms of fan base we are not much different.

West Ham fans have always been deluded.

Who remembers the play off final in Cardiff? West Ham fans arriving to the stadium in limo's drinking champagne like they had already won promotion.

Hope they get relegated.

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

I wouldn't be bothered if the drum was dropped and broke, never to be replaced. What that thing achieved isn't required anymore and all it really does now is drown out a lot of songs from elsewhere.

There were times early on at &rsenal when people got songs going that could've had the whole end singing but because of the drum and songs only allowed to start from that corner because of it, everyone had to wait for them to exhaust the bouncing up and down to the beat of the drum.

"To the beat of the drum, bang, To the beat of the drum, bang, bang, bang."

Hated hearing it on the TV at Blackburn, have got used to it mostly, only it does still irritate in parts.

Totally agree Rudi. At Arsenal it became a them and us at times, HF were singing one thing the other 3400 fans something else. I like the HF but the drum was banging constantly and not always in time with the masses.

The drum helps to coordinate us all, if people are wise enough to follow it.

You call following the drum 'wisdom?' Really?

Look, lots of us join in with songs, when there are songs to be followed. I have my personal preferences. I love 'We love you', 'When I was a young boy' and 'We're the pride of South London, South London's number 1', but what most of us don't do is jump up and down to the beat of the drum for 20mins or more. Not only is it about just 60 people doing it but it drowns out other stuff being started and the people who know the songs can't get going because of it, don't bother.

Fine, use a drum if it's constant singing. A couple of of the songs I don't like, but lots of others around me do, but I'm rarely around anyone bouncing up and down to a drum, and that's because it involves about 60 people only.

Rudi the point of the drum beat is so the fans can follow the song, not so much the bouncing. I find more often than not, there are those that want to get through every song within 10mins of the game starting, versus the rest that want to vocally back the team and keep the songs going.
A lot of people seem to think its a race, then spend the remainder of the game singing 'banter', which if original is funny, but if people feel like standing silent for 10 mins with the occassional you're not signing anymore for eg at swansea fans (who by the way couldnt hear us over their loud singing) then give me the drum beat any day.

As for West Ham I know a lot of good people that support that club and maybe its a mutual dislike of millwall and the sense they are a club similar to ours in size and battle to establish themselves in the prem that gives me a soft spot for them.

If we read many clubs websites we'd probably dislike them as every clubs fans hold themselves in high regards, as they should.
This site use to be popular a season ago until the doomsday, anti player type fans showed up crying out for loyalty from our players one minute, then saying drop and release that same player the next.

Each to their own, I love the AW because I'm not an Ultra, I'm fanatical about my Palace and all who know me know I sing all game and back the team.

ps in the AW we have been trying all season for FK's or Corners to get 'ole ole ole eagles' or 'eagles eagles....' going again, its iconic to our club and needs to be used every game!

we're the Arthur, we're the Arthur, we're the Arthur over here!

Positive! Proud & Palace - W block, AW

I remember one of my mates pointing out that we were up on the big screen, faces painted et al, but by the time we looked round, the camera had switched to fatty there, blubbering his eyes out. He loved bubbles that much he was blowing them out of his nose with his tear ridden snot. lmao

Great moment the morning after the Play Off Final. We were staying in a hotel in Bath.I was in the lift going to my room after breakfast when the doors opened to reveal some bleary eyed, downcast Hammers.'You going down mate?said one.'No' says I 'we're going UP!'The look on their faces as the doors closed bless em....
