Idiots???? Why are we idiots? I couldn't get in the away end. Really wanted to see this game so got a ticket in the home end.

Ok mate well you do that for the next Millwall away game yeah? Let me know how you get on.

Cheers.

You still don't get it do you? No one is saying they're going be wearing colours or giving it the big un. Simply want to watch the game. f*** me is it that hard to understand?

'Simply want to watch the game'? Football may have changed but this still isn't rugby? You said you don't wear colours, why not? Cos you know you're not supposed to be there.

My point is - you're doing it, fine. I wouldn't go on here telling the world about it.

F*cking hate Nigel's sometimes.

Football may have changed but this still isn't rugby?

Which is a great pity, because I can tell you few atmosphere's in sports compare to a Friday night Heineken Cup game at Franklin's Gardens, where you can stand on the terraces with a pint in your hand supporting the Saints with the Munster supporters standing 10 feet away in the next section and not a cop in sight. Ground totally sold out; the colour, the noise, the singing, the banter, and the buying of each other post-match pints no matter who's won is quite the equal of anything football can offer unless you really think fear, profanity, aggression and ignorance are what define the positive aspects of the football experience.

Yours,

Nigel

Sorry but the many Rugby matches I have been to the atmosphere is crap. England at Twickenham for example only ever sing swing low. Would rather the passionate fully charged atmosphere at football than ever friendly Rugby fans.

Will you still be supporting the Palace now that we've signed a Celtic player?

You love flirting with me don't you?

You're my favourite uptight Nigel on here.

Couldn't agree more. But a Palace supporter would no more tell you the atmosphere was better watching England play football at Wembley than a rugby supporter would tell you that England at Twickenham was a great experience. Internationals at HQ are for corporate executives (yes, even rugby has a prawn sandwich brigade). Club rugby, just like club football, is where the passion is. Trust me, the 13000 or so Northampton fans who pretty much sell out the Gardens every week following the Saints are a totally different breed to those who follow the national team. If you haven't been before, go to a Premiership game, then judge. Northampton, Leicester, Gloucester, or Bath are the best places -- cities where rugby holds primacy over football and where the experience is very intense.

I hope that we won't be playing millwall again as we will be flying in the prem! But, if it was a game that I wanted to watch then I would sit in the home end if away tickets were not available.
Reason for posting on here was to find out how many palace fans were in the same situation as me. If you don't like the post then quite frankly you can do one you are boring me!

I've been in the home end at Highbury when they were there.

They worked out I was palace but it was all quite friendly. The fact we lost and got relegated that day probably helped their mood, but definitely not mine.

Good luck to anyone who's in with them tomorrow. Remember most of them prefer it if you keep the noise down

probably more palace in the clock end that day than the north bank one

Nigel's? You're the one getting all precious sweet cheeks

I won't be wearing colours because a) I rarely do and b) because I'm not stupid and not going in the home end to prove anything. So yes it's to watch a game of football, that's usually why I go to matches.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Probably not the wisest thing to say on a public message board lads.

it's not like the police are going to trace their IP addresses and kick the door in to confiscate the tickets

He probably didn't mean the OB. You know how things get ramped up,before you know it Palace fans are planning to take over the North Stand....well naughty

Good idea let's do it!

We did do that once.

We did indeed
