I think was slating the Hull owner,

The same owner who has ploughed millions into the club, some reports indicating £75 Million. He is not some distant foreign owner but someone who was educated in Hull and has loved in the area for many years.

With his Mrs or other women?

All the more reason he should respect the name and the history of the club and understand how upsetting it is for the fans. Was a nice touch for the HF to show solidarity with them.

6 stabbings in 10 days, where?

And what's it got to do with Croydon Council?

It's been on BBC London News when reporting something. "This or that happened today in Croydon, where 6 stabbings in 10 days have happened x close to the town centre."

I think I've seen it on The Advertiser after clicking through to one of their scoops.

I think the local councilors and MP's have opportunities to liaise with The Met Police and comment on incidents and trends but I agree it's ultimately a Met Police responsibility. (And the parents, and the individuals with short life expectancy)

Maybe that's the HF angle, influence a body that can influence The Met. The HF can't influence The Met after all.

Front page of the Advertiser last Friday was about brick walls being knocked down/pushed over.

I can't see the council having any input to how the Met treat palace games and/or fans.

i'm in my early 20s an i gotta say my generation is completely f*cked no matter what the police, local councils or government do cus the majority are donuts! but it falls under the juristiction of the local council to make living conditions better, an if that means sending more police to patrol streets and get knives off the street instead of being lazy jobsworth t***s an sending uneeded officers to football so they can get a payday for watching a football game and acting like general knob heads! there was a unusually large amount of stewards in front of the holmesdale today swell it a joke! although im pretty sure if they werent there today mcgregor would been flattened way before he got sent off!

London boroughs (including Croydon) have no direct responsibility for policing; it's the Mayor of London that the Met are answerable to; perhaps a banner berating Boris would have been more appropriate.

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

Is there a better pic out there?

A least one more to follow.

Isn't it supposed to be about supporting the team instead of using young impressionable committed fans to spread your political (if non relevant to the game/team) message?
There are a billion injustices and wrongs out there. Its a cruel world. But if we are going to go down this route its going to open up a right can of worms.
The owners will be within their rights to ban all banners altogether.

It is relevant. The old bill have gone over the top with their treatment of the fanatics who are trying to SUPPORT the team. Just because they wear black, like waving flags and making a lot of noise they are harassed, followed, escorted to and from their pub, have their away coach busted and their day ruined. They are just young enthusiastic football supporters not violent anarchist rioters.

The point is that the Council should be putting more effort into combatting Knife crime and the social situations that cause it. It may be the Met's responsibility to investigate crimes and try and prevent them, but that doesn't mean the Council has a huge responsibility to protect it's citizens.

The Council has wasted alot of time and effort harassing Palace fans, particularly the HF, since we were promoted and it's fair enough to comment on that.

If you don't like it, do your own banner!

I will say though, it got a standing ovation from much of the Arthur.

Holding up a banner will no doubt put a stop to the gangs stabbing each others in Croydon.

and being snotty online does what?

Its a forum to express opinions, My opinion is that if the HF think holding up a banner is going to flood the streets with Police to stop knife crime then they are wrong. Holding up banners makes it look like its Palace fans opinion, HF should stick to football not politics or playing the victim, throwing coins, bottles and abusing players in front of block b doesn't do them any good.

Yet again, a massive generalisation of the HF.

I really don't believe the HF thought they'd be on the morning news chatting to Suzannah Reid about their move in to politics but why can't they make a statement about their local area? It's not national, it's not a crazy statement, if it gets a bit of coverage what's the hassle? They are talking about knife crime in Croydon - it's hardly opening up a debate about the Middle East.

It seems like there's always someone who gets offended over something so f*cking minor, so trivial just because they feel if they're offended they must be right. Get over it mate. If you don't like what they do, hold your own banner up saying 'Down with the HF rotters!'.

Agreed, Personally i think it has something to do with the council threatening to close Selhurst because a few young guys want to stand up and sing their hearts out. To concentrate on the HF standing as a problem as opposed to the gang culture on our streets is ridiculous and shows how pathetic and small minded some of our councillors are. The 6 stabbings in 10 days just highlights the moronic view of some of the officials running our council. Yet again because they are in situ they are easy pickings, for cheap shots and the nigels who have nothing better to moan about. Let me just say on record, i don't believe we would be in the premiership without their continuous chanting. It has that much of an impact. Just look at play off final, if they hadn't concentrated together and started most of the chanting at wembley palace would of been as quiet as watford, that support has an impact on those around them. FFS leave these young guys alone

...it's just pointing out that if the Police had put as much interest into crime as the council do with Palace... they might actually get somewhere, just a simple point.
