Playing okay but need far, far more attacking quality. Gayle might not be Ronaldo but he's the closest we've got.

Not wanting to bring it up again but... Bolasie man.

He was fantastic last year, but this season he's just so infuriating. Just now is a typical example, he runs himself into a dead-end by trying too much flare and keeping it too long, loses it and then just stays in an offside position for ages. He's more concerned with trying to out-do or embarrass his marker than actually playing for the team. Total waste.

Certainly a fair point. Mate of mine that's there has texted pretty much exactly that.

Actually think Bolasie is having a good game so far, as is Guedioura. Nobody playing particularly badly which is good, Puncheon needs to get into the game a little more I think.

So far we have been ok. Dominating without ever threatening really. I disagree with what someone above said about Bolasie. In this game, he has been the one making things happen and has tracked back and won the ball in our own half numerous times.

The problem is the final ball in. We just don't seem to be able to do it. Set pieces have also been pretty poor. Think we could really do with Bannan on for say Puncheon in second half so we have someone who may be able to put that final ball in.

Anyone think Ward has been quiet first half? Would much rather him where he belongs at RB.

Gah - Cham's doing what he does brilliantly with no striker to play to.

There's no doubt TP knows what he's doing and is far superior in knowledge to all of us, but one does wonder how he favours this over bringing Ward to RB (mariappa is average out there) and playing Bannan/Gayle. Sigh.

so much wrong with this performance!!

Chamakh's positioning is as if he's playing as a second striker still but yet that's when he looks most dangerous. Guedioura is therefore playing basically as a 5th midfielder, far too deep but then if anything he's a ball winning midfielder not an attacking mid anyway.

Ward is again wasted playing in midfield especially when Mariappa continually fails to stop crosses or even cross a ball himself going forward.

Bolasie looks our most dangerous player but his final ball is as always inconsistent.

It really shows what an important role Cameron Jerome plays as an attacking outlet. We have no central attacking threat today and the counter attacks are ending on the halfway line as there's nobody up top in an advanced position! Even Shawcross strolled out of defence with the ball FFS!

So fustrating!!! rant over.

...and Neil Shipperley has!
