Bang on mate and cheers for reminding me of Burnley. I think what it comes down to is over-excitement when I read a speculation. Can't handle it at my age!

I understand that Pulis is willing to bring in players earning twice as much than the highest paid players in our team.

Surely, this would ruin the team spirit and never would bring good results.

Why? Is the team spirit purely based on wages?

A new player, earning twice as much, having a few bad games which
can happen to any player, will create a very bad feeling amongst the rest, who got us promoted.

Hi Dazza,

Well you was stupid not being a Pulis Fan.He kept little old Stoke in the Premiership for several years, and took them into Europe.

The Frustration thing is his Mrs is still living in Stoke.
Its nothing to do with Players wanting £60K a week and little old Palace will only pay £20K a week.

If we lose him we will get someone else who will earn shed loads of money.

Yes QPR's policy was great wasn't it, sack Warnock bring in Hughes ,let him purchase loads of players earning thgousands, then sacking him for Harry and allowing him to buy Samba and the lad at Newcastle and putting the club in jeopardy brilliant.

Do not be worried we are 6 points away from 10th.What can possibly happen we get Relegated.!!!
As for IH going to Millwall NOTHING SHOULD SURPRISE YOU IN FOOTBALL ANYMORE.

Yes things are happening everyday at Crystal Palace and we should get sent an email telling us exactly what is going on.THE TRUTH.

But that should be done via the LOYALTY SCHEME.
Emails to Fans with 1200 points then 1100 points etc.

Anyhow cheer up ITS ONLY A GAME.

UP THE PALACE.

Well said alaneagle! Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Well I'm glad someone understood that ramble because I didn't.

Incidentally, instead of being the only person on the entire board who feels the need to spell out his identity at the end of every post, why not just treat yourself to a free registration under the username "Ollie's Dad, Ash" and have done with it for once and for all?

Because I don't want to!Ollie's Dad,Ash.

We have this topic every transfer window and it's the same speculation every time! Why don't we wait for another two weeks and then we can have a balanced debate AND we will all have a clearer view of who's in,who's out and whether TP is happy or not! At the moment it is all baseless. Ollie's Dad,Ash.

This.

we have 2 games now that are winnable and big games .

With our strike rate NO game can be deemed "Winnable".

And as Pulis has pointed out we play a Stoke side who have been established in the Premier League for a few seasons (Thanks to him !) and a Hull side who have just spent £12 Mill on forwards.

That explains my depression, cheers Syd. What it is is that I read all speculation and I get depressed for my little old club. It's personal really.

Never get depressed about Palace. There's no need. When he have we ever suffered and not bounced back? When has tomorrow ever not been better than yesterday? Would Burnley have felt so good without two consecutive relegations and four years in the wilderness? Would 4-3 have felt so good without 9-0? Would two months of TP have felt so good without two months of IH before him? No, no, and no. We are Palace. The sun always comes up in the morning. Why the f*** are you depressed?

The day before we played Liverpool in 1979, 6 days after beating Ipswich 4-1 and going top of the League.

He probably believes like we do that staying up will be dependant on the success of his signings this January and to-date he has been thwarted in his efforts to lure anybody to the club.Very frustrating for him and for supporters.

Well, we beat Cardiff, Hull and West Ham with our present lot, didn't we? It's mostly about team spirit, confidence and the 12th player: with those elements on board we'll sail into safety. After all, we ARE Crystal Palace and does things our way. Anyone saw the Daily Star yesterday and end of this season PL table? Palace bottom with 26 points!!!! Just let's go and show them what South London is all about.

Very troubling quotes by TP in Standard and Adder. He is clearly a worried man. He said that the transfer window would be crucial to Palace's chances - and nothing has happened in almost three weeks. I hate the idea that we will be watching and waiting right up to the end of the window, wondering if Palace are going to land any useful players at all. Same old, same old, in other words. Do the owners reckon that TP can still keep us up without spending any more money? Or do they have a longer game-plan which involves relegation and promotion the following season?

Conversely Iain Moody was more positive when he stated that "We’ve got quite precise targets that we’re trying to deal with. It’s just sometimes it’s in the interests of the selling club or the player to buy themselves a bit of time. That’s probably the situation we’re in and we’re not alone in not having added to the squad."

My guess is that the clubs that we have approached are trying to get replacements in before selling us the player that we are after so we are effectively part of a chain.
