This is just embarrassing from Gusset! Your cut and pastes are getting worse.

Oh and what is the solution to austerity then? Spend and borrow even more money we dont have? I see the socialist Hollande doing well with France's economy...

Gillard too in Oz. Billions in debt and spending like a drunken sailor.

Roll on the election in September. Labour looking at a landslide loss.

Get your head out of the sand. Austerity isn't working.

Spending isn't working either. Small business which employs 7 million people here is bleeding to death. That damages both the tax base and jobs.

I am afraid that you, and the left, have failed to provide a credible and workable alternative to austerity.

We can't borrow more, we seemingly are stuck in a non-growth or low-growth cycle for at three more years and the hypocrisy of the state being largest employer in some parts of the country has been exposed as uneconomical and unproductive. Yet you suggest we someone find a Wonga.com to provide us with money we can't afford in order to prolong the factors that contributed to the shocking waste of public money promulgated by the state?

Mental.

Get your head out of the sand. Austerity isn't working.

It is working, hence our economy is growing, compare and contrast with France whose economy contracted in Q4 2012 & Q1 21013 and therefore are officially back in recession.

i can see nick's point of view, but sometimes the articles he references can be a bit spurious.

So a policeman has had a shltty weekend at work. Armed forces get it, nurses get it, in fact most front-line personnel get a few days like this.

What is galling, is that society's elite are still drinking their full from the public money trough.
In fact to call them 'elite' is to do real academics a great disservice.

Take this chancer, who apparently has more than enough money to retire at 60, after guzzling from the public coffers.

Much of the time he doesn't express a view. He posts this stuff and when it gets rubbished, defaults by saying he was only trying to spark debate.

The same as the solution to everything else, of course. The state!
