Odious attitudes come from all segments of society. The colour of a person's skin has no bearing on them. They are all members of one race. The human race. There is no other. That there is ever any "public criticism" of anything doesn't mean that criticism is valid. Very often it's the underlying motivation of the critics that need to be examined rather than the subject of the criticism. For instance there has been "public criticism" of the Supreme Court recently, even to the point of calling it the "enemy of the people". This is totally invalid and ignorant. Whether, or not, the Police should keep their enquiries secret, or involve the public, is a judgement only they can make. It's their operation. They have the facts. We don't. I defend their right to do their job and don't second guess an area of expertise beyond my pay grade. If they feel the need to apologise when something has gone wrong sobeit. We all learn on a daily basis. Or almost all of us do. There are some stubborn exceptions.

Russian involvement in Trump's election is hardly a conspiracy theory. All the US intelligence agencies have confirmed it and many Russians indicted. The Mueller report investigated and found several worrying aspects, prosecuted a number of individuals and got convictions. What has been released has been heavily redacted. It was chucked into the cupboard until Trump leaves office by Barr. Whether or not Trump can be tied in directly remains unclear. Believable deniability is a well worn tactic of the very rich with unlimited access to lawyers. It stinks though, and that is only a conspiracy theory to those who have lost the power to smell their own arses. Remember that Al Capone was only jailed on tax evasion whilst everyone knew he was a gangster. Trump needs to remember that and that the arm of the law is both long and patient. No human being is genetically identical to another. However, every human being shares 99.9% of their DNA with EVERY other human being. We are all brothers and sisters. Our differences are primarily cultural and religious. It's these which produce the stresses and which need to be addressed with wisdom, compassion and understanding.

When I lived in Barking the police periodically put up a knife arch at the station and it was a bit embarrassing being ushered to the side of it whilst a queue of people waited to be buzzed through. Would have thought it more politic to search everybody.

Humans share 50% of our DNA with a banana.....I think we see an example of that on these boards. We share 60% with fruitflys and 96% with Chimps for god's sake. So the ignorant push dim commentary when the reality is that with DNA it is in the interplay and interaction of the genes. People who push lies about all humans being the same and that the only differences are cultural and religious are factually incorrect and dangerous. That belief has caused much harm in the world.....sounds like someone needs to read the 'blank slate' by Pinker. IQ data shows this down to the winners in sprint finals down to who suffers from Sickle cell to who burns in the sun. We are all the product of the evolution from our lines and that is entirely geographically related down from thousands of years. This evolution affects all physical matters equally from our brains to our arm length. Edited by Stirlingsays (01 Jan 2020 5.17pm)

It is undeniable that people, or their recent ancestors, who come from different parts of the world, can display common physical characteristics, which have developed as a consequence of their environment and which differ from our own. This doesn't though mean that they are different human beings. That 0.5% of different DNA accounts for that, but it doesn't change what makes a human a human. That's all inside us. In our brains. It's our character. What some would call our soul. Within all groups some people are bigger and stronger, whilst some shorter and weaker. Looking at simple physical differences is simplistic. Humans are basically the same everywhere in that they want the same things. They want food and shelter for themselves and their family. They want health and happiness. The differences about how they translate that into how they live their lives is cultural and religious. Change the environment. Modify the culture and gradually replace the religion with reason and a sense of belonging and, over time, those people start to behave like us. They won't look like us, until we all get mixed up and create a new look. We have all witnessed this happening in our lifetimes, despite those who want to deny it. Take a look at this, and maybe a listen too, for an explanation which is longer and better expressed than my own:-

What kind of banana thinks that I haven't come across this argument before. Egalitarian warm worded BS. The piece repeats the same dim line about DNA being the same when I've just shown this up as disinformation and nice sounding propaganda for the ignorant.....Again, It's not the genes insomuch as how they interact with each other. We share genes with plants and many divergent species......This piece also goes on about 'white supremacy' more than once....which tells you all you want to know about the kind of people writing it. It's the argument of the socially liberal egalitarian who's both in denial of the physical and wants to believe that the Chinese are no different to the Zulus because....let's play with categories and deconstruct. Here's a clue, both the Chinese and the Zulus disagree with you. Completely ridiculous and nothing but word salad. It has zero currency outside of modern western leftist thought and no where else in the world buys it...No one in the west brought it either up until a couple of decades ago when this poison infected the universities...It's mainly in that particular 'white left' bubble. 'Baizuo' as the Chinese call them. There is only the physical, there is no evidence of a soul and discussions on character are subjective and I won't abide them from an individual who's taken the positions this guy has. I am a little surprised that more than two (and the unfortunate moderator who is obliged to) is bothering to read the recent exchanges, so I am grateful for your forbearance. Nevertheless, it has run it's course. My opinions have been made clear and I can add no more. As they obviously are never going to produce anything other than denial mixed with personal abuse in response, there is little point in repeating them. During them I have always tried to concentrate on the argument and not the person expressing them. The responses though have often played the man and not the ball so I have begun to feel a little like Wilf must every game. At least in this thread there hasn't been too much rotational fouling! Indeed if this was football the opposition would surely have been red carded several times by now, but without VAR here to advise the referee the old rules still seem to apply.

Oh the whinging.....to top it all off he pulls the victim card.....I have little doubt this guy is permanently crying to moderators. He obviously doesn't like the arbitrary leftist nonsense on race being refuted. Oh and as for 'abuse' I'll ignore that coming from a guy who referred to me as a sub species. So disingenuous.
