I don't read the Daily Mail or any other piece of crap tabloid.

This government is clearly losing the media battle. It has been beset with infighting and instability. It has ousted an electoral winner and replaced him with people who cannot win the next election.
That is quite an achievement when the alternative is Kier Starmer.

I may well vote Reform next time, depending on whether they actually get their act together in the meantime.

Wow, now that is possibly the first time you have surprised me.

Anyway, they ousted someone that had won in the past. But also someone that was a liar, self-serving and lazy. He was a liability. The trouble is that applies to all current senior Conservatives.

It is Keir not Kier. Better learn that as he's going to be the next Prime Minister.

There is no point engaging with ideologues.

What has held true over many decades is:

The right and centre will generally say " you are entitled to your opinion, I disagree with it but that's ok "

The left will generally say " You are entitled to my opinion, if you disagree you are wrong and that's the end of it "

In today's politics the left cannot accept Starmer and his group because they are prepared to listen to various points of view and in many cases are aligned with current Tory policy.

There is IMO very little to choose between Conservative talking heads and Labour talking heads at the moment.

AT least credit to Starmer for cleaning house of the Corbynista anti semites from senior positions.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Now, if he can just figure out what a 'woman' is...

General Elections used to be a basic choice. On the one hand, the state deciding the future of the economy and the shape of society. On the other hand, that the power to take decisions ought to be spread as wide as possible. Now the choice is state control or even more state control – vote for parties that promise less government.

Most often even that's smoke and mirrors though. I don't really believe any of them really intend to usher in small government, and let's say even if a party did, would be pan out that way. Aint no slowing this juggernaut down, it clearly benefits the right people AKA not us.

The left cannot accept Starmer because he's not remotely left-wing and as you say, too closely aligned with Tory politics.

I'm not sure why you say this like it's surprising or unreasonable - why would anyone support a party whose views don't align with their own?

I don't think it's surprising, it just highlights the divide in the opposition and perhaps shows that the current MP's of both Labour and Conservative are much more divided than can be coverd by the " we area broad church " mantra.

But I repeat, IMO the Corbynista anti semitism was unacceptable yet many still do not accept it was a thing.
