There are reasons why Zaha's time in Manchester didn't work out. Reasons which have not put other clubs off trying to sign him and willing to pay huge amounts to do so. United also didn't think he was going to be a flop either did they? Or they wouldn't have inserted a 25% sell on agreement (something they do not do very often).
As for Sane being a better player? Debatable. I'd say its easier to look consistently top draw when you are consistently surrounded by world class team mates that make your own job easier.
Its for that reason I always laugh when fans of top 5 clubs claim Zaha has mnade it at Palace but he'd never make it at their club. Rubbish. If their club has better resources/players, Wilf will find it even easier to perform not harder.

not sure about that - for England and Man U he did not know where to go to receive the ball, we put it on a plate for him, he's improved positionally but it's not certain he would thrive when he is not the star - depends which big club he ends up at

You can understand why Parish held out for 80 million as the net income would be 60 million due to Man United's sell on clause.

So that is understandable (altho' not to Zaha)

Now it is up to the manager to persuade him to prove he is worth that much before the January window.

The biggest disaster in our transfer business is to sell AWB without making a replacement the No.1 priority - absolutely unbelievable.

Hopefully we sell Wilf to Chelsea in January should they get their ban lifted and get Batshuayi in a swap deal + cash.

Yeah great idea. We will shoot up the table then and possibly challenge for Champions League

He doesn't want to be here,I was hoping Everton would come in with a big bid.

You think his gonna be disruptive in the dressing room and on the training ground?

I sincerely hope not!

It would send a very divisive message to the rest of the squad who have grafted through pre season that any player (not specifically Wilf) can waltz into the first team without doing the hard yards required by others.

I’m sure Roy wouldn’t be that stupid!

Who’s tried to sign him? 2 clubs put in bids, one was half of the asking price, the other a bit more than half. Not exactly a bidding war

I think Sane is better, even if they are the same he has 5 years on Zaha.

Zaha would get less than half of the ball at top clubs than at Palace , none at Liverpool, City or Tottenham apart from the league cup. All of our players want to pass the ball to him anytime that they can, at the top clubs he wouldn’t be the preferred choice.

Quite correct.Parish is clearly out of his depth and has come out of this episode totally discredited.
Wilf,on the other hand,if he performs to the highest level, can coe out of this mess with great credit and his integrity in tact,in readiness for a move to Chelsea in January.

For goodness sake, do you know what the word "integrity" means? According to one definition, it means "having strong moral principles". Does that apply to someone who signs a lucrative long-term contract and sees nothing wrong in trying to renege on it just a year later?

Dear me, aka ffs.. Wilf has grafted this summer for his country. He should play without a doubt.
He's given so much to this club and pretty sure he still will til the day comes he does move on to club with more ambition than this one.

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong
