So on Xmas day there was an incident at home where by I hurt my hand. It swelled up and on 27th I took myself to Maidstone hospital A+E. From family and friends experience, and what appears to be the national picture.. I'd say that significant several hour waits are not at all usual in A&E for serious issues at the minute. It is however clearly good news when someone is lucky enough to get treated fast.

The NHS, not bankers, would be the priority of a labour government. Always has been, always will be.
Priority before or after the Unions?

Tony Blair threw money at the NHS and it didn't work. Despite Labour propaganda the Tories have also thrown money at the NHS and it has got worse. It's time to have an adult conversation in this country between all parties and the public about the future of the NHS. I wont hold my breath.

For starters, anyone looking at the NHS should investigate the wasting of money. Millions on agency staff, too many highly paid managers, treatments tgat should be privately funded. This has been going on for years and no 1 Government is to blame

These dyed in the wool Conservatives will, it seems, put up with anything, so long as it isn't the dreaded labour government with all its Marxists, lefties, Communists blah, blah, blah. All these Sun, Daily Mail, Express -reading: turkeys voting for an early Christmas. It just makes me laugh on here. Haha. Ridiculous. Keep laughing. The point, as if it should need explaining, is that however bad you think the Tories are, I guarantee that Labour would do worse. They always do, and sadly, a large chunk of the voting have the memories of goldfish or were just too young to remember the last useless Labour government. One of the few benefits of getting older is that experience what a joke so called socialism is in practice enough times to know that you never want it in government ever again.

When you say no one can get a GP appointment, not sure that is true. I never have to wait more than 1 day. I have food on the table, 2 children with degrees. Not saying this is the general picture but no one! Facts EDN facts Here we wait a minimum of two weeks. And we aren’t the worst. Postcode lottery

Oh God, here we go again. that word 'Marxist' bandied around. Just another lazy application of a conveneient word to join you on your bandwagon of Daily Mail puke - writing. The destruction of the NHS started way before any pandemic, as well we know. The underinvestment since 1997 has been systematic and with a view to the privatisaton of the service. But then, you'll never change your mind on anything on here. Just spout, spout, spout. Ha ha. Comedy show. The RMT leadership is awash with Marxists. Mick Lynch, that dedicated socialist, earns 163k a year, by the way. They are hypocrites whose only ambition is to feather their own nests and bring down any Tory government. They are dinosaurs who are cutting the throats of their own members. The NHS is having loads of money pumped into it. No amount will ever be enough. There is no 'destruction'. It simply cannot be sustained with the current model.

There were others who got seen in similar timescales. The data are easily accessible. Currently (November) hospitals are seeing 54.5% of attendances within 4 hours.

Nothing is more indictive of the tory record of failure than the NHS. Imagine having to sleep in your car in a hospital car park to try and get seen, it is a calamity, a national emergency. And 70% of tories themselves think they have failed, so I read, an accident or emergency is something at the back of everyone's mind. Labour have always looked after the NHS, their greatest achievement.

Conservative voters overwhelmingly believe their party has failed in its management of the NHS during their time in Government, a poll suggests. A vast majority (73 per cent) said they thought NHS management had been a failure in the last decade, compared to just 16 per cent who said it had been a success, according to the Opinium survey for Compassion In Politics, shared exclusively with i. Of voters who backed the Tories in 2019, more also believe their party’s austerity policies have been a failure (47 per cent) than those who believe they were a success (16 per cent).
