I am not expecting Wilf to play this weekend he needs to get his head right. However as other posters have said there was actually little serious interest in him from other clubs.

My advice to Wilf is to get his head right have a great season and he will get his big move.

The fact that we were avoiding contact from Everton on the last day confirms my worst fears about our boards attitude.
They are obviously an arrogant bunch of people.
In my world they have missed a major opportunity in failing to sell Zaha and then securing a good striker and right back.
They have clearly failed to grasp the nettle of modern football, clinging on to WZ at all costs.
Had we promoted the Zaha move in June we would have secured £60m for him. 65% of that would have secured a good Russian striker and a good right back.
They flaffed about for weeks with the AWB finally getting £45m for him from a very persistent major club.
They overvalued Zaha for what gain?
If he isn’t playing on Saturday then we don’t even have his services. Total failure.
We need to stop acting like big swinging dicks. Zaha is not worth £100m. He’s not worth £80m. He’s only worth what the market will pay. That is around £60m.
We are all guilty of bigging him up. He comes with his faults which we all know. The biggest clubs didn’t come for him.
We need to PLAN his exit in January WITH him NOW not on the 25th January.
To get him to perform until then we need to help him with a move. He is a young guy. He has ambition way beyond ours and he wants out. Accept that and move on.
We will secure £60m for him so long as he is playing well. If he goes off the boil forget it.
£60m is fantastic. Think positive. It will get us a good striker for £25m and a good right back for £15m (ask Matteo), pay off man u and still have some in the bank.
This will give us a team all wanting to wear the shirt. Far better than what we are left with after the shambles of this summer.
In the meantime our owners need to carefully reflect on where we are and realise that now would be a good time to sell the club and move on. The majority holders already want this. They need to grasp the situation and get the minority shareholders on board to exit. Their time is done.
To maintain our current premier status and equilibrium big changes are needed.

But did we? or has this been fed to the papers

Not poorly advised in my view. He signed a 5 year contract for a ton of money with his eyes open. To be fuming because he cannot switch to another club 12 months in shows a basic lack of common sense on his part. If he wants to move then he needs to prove he is worth the larger valuation. Having a hissy fit, if he chooses to do so, will only serve to raise comparisons with Saido Berahino. Not sure that worked out too well for him.

The other thing Wilf and his hangers on need to come clean on is that they want to switch clubs for increased wages and fees. If you want to go for Champions League football, try finding a club in the Champions League. Greedy.

I read yesterday that Everton actually only submitted one bid for Zaha at the end of July for around £52m, all this other bollocks in the media that has being going on since is just pure fabrication.

VAR will be interesting. Will defenders be confident that 'Zaha is a diver' and be more committed to tackling him in the box or will they back off as the camera will prove he's not a cheat?

If it's the latter it could be a top season for us and Wilf.

As has already been mentioned it seems that Everton only submitted the one bid and the rest was just media speculation dressed up to pretend that they were in the know

Wilf will get his big money move to Chelsea next season as Hazard's replacement.

Hope Wilf does play Saturday and plays his socks off.
Scores a couple then points at his name on the back of his shirt to the cameras.

Bollox to all the negativity

He’s just too good for you.

and Everton unlikely to kick him out of the game if they want him in January.

McCarthy to score maiden hat trick in PL with Zaha assists

or maybe not

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Bayern Munich came in for him before their window closes, especially as they had to abort their bid for Sane.

He may get more protection in the VAR era.

But will he get twice as many penalties or yellow cards?
