This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle There wasn’t a higher Everton bid, by the independent. Some of the conspiracy theories on the bbs about Zaha being led a dance by Parish and Will Salthouse are quite believable actually. This is a mad situation and the more that comes out, the more it looks like a few of Zaha and his mates being tempestuous children without a clue who’ve been easily outfoxed by Parish. Even easier this summer as all it looks like there may have been is an Arsenal bid of £40 mil and an Everton bid of £52 mil. No wonder Parish wasn’t getting hot under the collar and making any serious attempts to sign anyone late on.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle We will never know what was or was not agreed/promised between SP and the Wilf camp ( if anything ). If there was anything that was not clearly defined such as " reasonable offer " then this was an inevitable train wreck in waiting. My feeling is someone tried to be too clever
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

If this circus is repeated every transfer window, better sell him to the highest bidder and start a Palace life without our talisman.

Whilst I agree - if no serious bids came in - hoe the F**k can we sell him? All this BS in the media and his 'team' stirring it up - leaves a bad taste TBH Wilf is a great talent but I'd be glad to see him gone after this debacle

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Reports show that the highest bid we received for him was only 52m by Everton. No way we were ever accepting that. If Zaha wants the 'big move' which I think his talent and performances deserves (but he's just gone about it in the worst possible way) then he'll have to show what he's worth until at least January. I still think he'll end up going to Chelsea which professionally is a much better move than going to Everton if he ever actually wishes to play in the CL. The whole thing obviously leaves a sour taste in the mouth but I'm always willing to forgive if the performances are there...which I think they will be after a couple of weeks. This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Feel sorry for Roy, feel sorry for Wilf and I blame it on Parish. The fact that the rest of the window has been so shambolic suggests to me that there was absolutely no strategy. If I was Wilf or Luka why the f*ck would I want to be at this club when we have shown no ambition whatsoever on the back of a record breaking season. We have gone backwards. Any infrastructure improvements are just treading water and the playing squad is far far poorer than it was before the window. I’m sure Wilf will go about his business like a professional when he does rejoin the squad and I hope he moves on in the next two windows and we replace him adequately.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle No one was particularly interested in him, definitely not near where we valued him. Can’t see where he would go in January, as there will be even less interested. Arsenal signed the other Ivory Coast winger, Everton have signed Iwobi. Can see it being embarrassing for him, maybe he should be ‘requesting a transfer’ to potential clubs rather than us. Think he’s played himself into a corner, with no one interested.

There we are.... ill-advised. Perhaps his anger should be vented at those that take his money not at the hand that feeds him

He didn't 'demand' that we accept a lower price. He asked us to, in recognition of his long and excellent service. The club was right to decline, but that doesn't mean he was wrong to ask. Everton aren't real Madrid, but they are bigger, richer and in a far better position to get European football than us. That judas Wright? Quite possibly (perhaps apart from Zaha) our best ever player you mean? Or have you forgotten that bit? I haven't forgotten the bot where he started kissing Arsenal's badge and relegated us. Don't care how good he was. The rest of your post is complete bollocks too.
