This does not have to be down to overt and outright racism, it can be accounted for by other factors. Equally I would for example not suggest all Muslims are religious zealots whose aim is to make the world an Islamic nation or all union members are die in the wool communists. I would question the Muslim line. More do than don’t want what you say they don’t.

It’s a perfectly normal expectation that many Muslims live a western lifestyle and one would think they want to carry on. The problem is that book/ leaflet thing they read. Does strange things to the mind of many sadly!!!

You have merely made an assumption based on my views of the current state of the Tory party as demonstrated to my mind by the current process I actually agree with you in terms of diversity across the main political parties and parliament. To be frank I don't see competent leadership across either of our two parties. I am wondering if as things may get more serious what will happen politically as there does not seem to be anything or anyone to unite the nation. But if you want a political opinion, the current government has been asleep at the wheel since they ousted Boris and that has made things a lot worse.

Are you a parody account of Wisbech Eagle? You suspect that the average Tory party member could not bring themselves to vote for a " brown man ", which in itself is a strange expression, but you are not accusing Tories of being racist.

Truss is clearly a deluded idiot and keen to claim something she wants but does not have. On an interview with Laura Kunessberg today she constantly referred to if she was elected to be Prime Minister. Well she is not being elected to that role. She is by a quirk of our politics being elected as Tory leader and as they currently form the government becomes Prime Minister. She simply does not have a mandate to be Rime Minister from the nation, she merely benefits I suspect because the average Tory party member could not bring themselves to vote for a man with brown skin. I haven’t been following this, as I am fed up with the whole s*** show and whoever wins will be a disaster. However I do not necessarily agree with your last sentence, imo they wouldn’t vote for Sunak as he is proven to be a backstabbed and snake in the grass. The members only had him or Truss as choices. I am not a member of the Tory party but believe one of the members favoured candidates was a female with darker skin than Sunak

Equally I have views on the current state of the Labour party as opposition, on Scottish and Welsh devolution and many other things. But that's the fun, a good debate is a good debate regardless of views. Opinions are like ar##holes - we all have one. What I struggle with is anyone who rather than debate simply regurgitates the same nonsense or simply attempts to shut down debate.

I suspect the Tory party has quite a lot of Asian members. Just a guess - haven't looked into it. Would suspect traditional Indian families would prefer the Tory ethos. Boris's twelve wives might have put them off though.

Sunak is by a long way the better candidate in my view, so he obviously will not win. I did feel it was wrong for an Asian man to be PM, can you imagine Tony Blair or similar being PM of India? But it faded as I realised he was constructive, but wrong. They still both want tax-breaks for millionaires they really haven't a clue about ordinary working families. Sweep the tories away, we have to start again.
