Boo hoo. Get used to the fact it’s happening and Parish always wanted it to happen. It’ll help you move forward. An irrevocable decision - certainly no 'Volte Face' on this issue. I can sense the incipient anger about what is viewed as iniquitous by many and perhaps the polemic will only increase. All for the "Greater good" is the message.

Did you not read the clubs Terms and Conditions which clearly state that standing is a serious breach of those terms and can result in the removal of their season tickets. Stadium rules do not apply to the HC (Holmesdale Choirboys) they are a law unto themselves and exempt from such minor details like crowd safety regulations. I only hope that enough stewards will be on hand to prevent a tragedy when 400 boisterous and aggressive youngsters are moved into the middle of real fans who come to watch football and support their team.

To This toe curling post sums up the ludicrousness of the whole situation, needlessly caused by the HF, abeted by Parish. A mute and shyte atmosphere is more embarrassing, and what away fans taunt home fans for. You need to come to terms with this happening, however hard it is for you.

Like at Chelsea, spurs, West Ham, Arsenal, Liverpool etc etc you mean? It’s season ticket holders there every match and used to how it works. It’s when you get more than there should be in an area there’s a problem, and a problem that’s much more solvable with home fans than 2-3,000 more boisterous away fans.

Obviously I sincerely hope there will not be a tragedy BUT if there was Mr Parrish could find himself on a Corporate Manslaughter Charge for allowing/instigating the whole thing.

Our so called unique PL atmosphere did nothing for the team in relation to home results. Start doing well at home and getting results and the atmosphere will take care of itself.Hopefully we will see that this season.

As could half the chairmen in the league with regards to home fans standing and all chairmen in the league with regards to away fans. It’ll be poor crowd handling that’ll cause ‘a tragedy’ you speak of, not 1 fan per seat standing in front of it. You’ll keep trying, but it’s happening anyway.

Or our season finishes may not have earned some of those crucial results, with the unconditional support regardless if the player made an honest mistake. It’s a division of fine margins and we’ve been in danger for 6 seasons. We’re arrogant if we think we don’t need everything in our favour, because we clearly do.

I sympathise with all but my take on it, is that the atmosphere generated by the HF is good for TV and hence the reason SKY/BT etc like coming - this obviously generates more income. Money is therefore the key factor here.

Absolutely, the only things that really create a healthy, natural atmosphere, are performances and results on the pitch.

You could argue that this isn't true as when teams start to produce results, there becomes an expectancy which creates jeering and moaning when things aren't going as expected. For example, Goodison used to have a great atmosphere but now Everton have had relative success, it's so silent you can hear the players. One of the best things about the HF for me is the continuous support you hear when the opposition score. All I hear now is a chorus of groans when the balls given away cheaply.
