That was 93 minutes of utter frustration. Nine times out of ten that performance would have got us at least a point. FdB can't be blamed for Lee's moment of madness (who on earth was he passing to?), or for Dann's miss near the end (a chance that really was "easier to score from than miss". Did I read earlier in this thread that we've had 55 shots and no goals? If so, that's unbelievable! The lack of an experienced second striker is a huge worry. Burnley started with two and had another on the bench. We've got two, Benteke and Ladapo, and the latter wasn't even on the bench. Benteke has collected 3 yellow cards in four games, two more and he's suspended. Our lack of strikers makes us so vulnerable for a team that has gone four games without scoring. We desperately need wins against Southampton (and Huddersfield) to steady the ship and give a much needed confidence boost before we play City, Utd and Chelsea. Tough times, but today I saw a team lacking confidence and luck but working hard for each other. I hope and think that Palace have the character, resilience and ability to get themselves out of this mess - hopefully starting next Saturday.

1 Fit Striker at the Club so we sign 3 Centre Backs in the summer & give Delaney a new contract? We put pressure on them in the 2nd half but couldn't score for toffee, we're so desperately crying out for more quality up front it's painfully obvious! Not to worry we've signed Sakho so we can get a 0-0 every week! Fookin bollox!!!

The only thing Frank is guilty of is changing too much too soon, with regard to not having the playing staff able to cater for what he wanted. But today for me was the first time I saw what a truly great manager he can prove to become. The way we played reminded me of Leicester, so connected and playing as a unit. Just some of the attacking players weren't at the races, Benteke/Chungy. Forsu Mensah perhaps should play RB when Sakho comes in too. But I think to sack FdB now will be the worst possible decision we've ever made, this guy is the real deal, he's made mistakes, but I reckon he can keep us up, and given a bigger kitty next summer or jan, will make the world of difference. For me we are one central speedy player short of clicking, a Vardy type. Bare with Frank, buy Shane long in January.

Only the likes of Chelsea can be mean up front because they'll always get that one goal more than the opposition because of their sheer quality.

Only one person to blame then SP and the board for trying to play billy big bollocks in the transfer market and loosing misarebly. Not seeing what everyone else sees including FdB we needed a forward badly . I suspect SP was thinking no worries sick note Wickham will be back soon.

He was hardly a prolific scoring machine.

looks like we're out of the title race already. id also say our champions league spot, looks under threat too. everything abouth the game has been said already, but i have to mention punch & lee...we'd be better off with peters and lee. better performance today, apart from the lack of ideas up front. but certainly the players looked like they knew where they were supposed to be, in a familiar formation. which begs the question, why didnt FDB go with this from the onset??? he may not have been in the predicament he is now.

I'll tell what irks me - Mark Bright sitting next to Parrish presiding over things like some all seeing footballing guru - what the hell as Mark Bright ever done in football management. If he is that great why didn't Parrish make him "Sporting Director" rather than appointing Dougie. IMO - Parrish is a huge part of our problem - he'll no doubt sack FDB try and take some moral high ground - in the interests of the club, premiership survival, the fans etc.. But he is the one that keeps appointing these Managers - emergencies aside in Pullis and Allardyce his record on managerial appointments is shocking. I'm sick and tired of the Parrish fan club - he saved us nonsense, that was 7 years ago - get over it..!! Today we have the worst record of any top flight team team since 1924..!!! Meantime Parrish did not back FDB in the window - made the 2 biggest signings himself - Zaha's contract extension and Sakho - even said after signing Sakho "the fans have been on at me about signing Sakho" - so don't tell me Sakho wasn't a Parrish signing. Don't get me wrong I think Zaha and Sakho - were/ will be good business. But from where I sit Parrish seems to be happy for FDB to take all the heat - whilst he sits next to Mark Bright in some "Dragons Den" type scenario - just irritates me so much. Sadly I think FDB will pay the price - but who will Parrish bring in - Woy? Be careful what you wish for..!!!
