There was always something Pardewesque about his achievements so I'm glad that we went the Dutch route. If the board back him with a couple of decent signings (especially a quality centre half) then I don't think that anyone can blame Parish if it all goes pear shaped Excellent post totally agree.

The past few transfer windows I've seen posts saying the squad was the deepest it has ever been. Then things went pear shaped and sure enough Parish and the board took their unfair share of abuse. It's simply the nature of the beast. Edited by kenbarr (23 Jun 2017 6.16am)

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Should Frank join us I hope he revolutionizes our academy just how Ajax academy was. This will be a good appointment for every player. The likes of Kai Kai etc for the first time have a genuine chance of making a first team spot there own. Not been so excited in a potential appointment in ages. And he turned down other offers to come to us. A

Seems he's doing a similar role at Ajax already and until I just looked on Wiki, I hadn't appreciated that during their many years as players the two really did come as a package.

FDB has been suggested to have been SP's 1st choice target for our replacement manager all along. I am sure we will all know the full story shortly. I really like the fact that once again SP and Palace work extremely hard and succeed in conducting business privately and on their own terms. However the whole process does appear to have been a lengthy in terms of time but there may also be valid reasons for this?
