I think Wilf wants to leave because of our lack of ambition. I don't think this transfer window has done anything to demonstrate that he is wrong. If I was Roy I would suggest to Wilf that we rate him higher than Everton do as they were not prepared to pay the asking price. I would suggest he then go and show Everton what they are missing out on. I can see that argument in a way, but its still unfortunate. Well I say that, but all things considered at least he's still with us.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Zaha is completely within his rights to ask for a transfer, and even to ask the club to accept a lower offer to allow that to happen. He's only asking. It doesn't make him 'disloyal' (whatever the hell that even means in this context), or erase the huge amount he has done for CPFC in his career to date. Crucially, it doesn't prohibit him continuing to do excellent work for us in the future either. Plainly, and perfectly reasonably, he wants to play at the top of the game, feels he can do that, and that he has done all he can for and at Palace. Hard to disagree with any of that, just like it was hard to disagree with Ian Wright when he came to similar conclusions back in the day. Anyone saying it's about earning more money hasn't been paying attention: Zaha gives significant sums out of every wage packet to charities in the UK and Ivory Coast, which is a funny way to be greedy. This is the transfer window, and he is at his peak. He will only have these circumstances coincide a handful of times in his life. In two or three short years his dream will be over forever. Of course it will affect him emotionally. Quite why it should affect any of us that way is beyond me. Some of the comments on here amaze me. Just take a moment to remember: This is not your wife/husband/partner telling you they want to leave you for someone else.

Sorry but allow me a moment some may view as blasphemy. I think Wilf has acted like a petulant spoilt brat in all of this. My suspicion is he made his annual trip to see SP and demanded more. He got the brush off and since then has had others agitate for him as he doesn't fancy doing his dirty work. To put in a request so late was another act of pettiness. Wonder how he will react on the pitch? Not O want him around right now until he explains his actions and displays a decent attitude to his employer and us fans. Fair comment.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle with Iwobi going to Everton then that 'opportunity' is gone for Wilf - dodged a bullet there Wilfried - but that could mean an opportunity could open up at Arsenal in January or Chelsea next summer But that is pretty much the options right now - and to get a crack at either he is going to have to play extremely well over the next few months / this season So toys back in pram - get to it Wilf - and you can start by banging in a couple of goals on Saturday

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I'd like to propose a referendum on Wilf's song … I think it would greatly help his attitude if instead of singing 'he's just to good for you' we all sang 'you're just too good for us'. Please reply with an agree or disagree, if we get 10,000 agrees this might happen, the HF would be powerless.

So he is stay. New song for the newly situated Fanatics. He's too expensive for you, he's to expensive for you... - starting with Everton Saturday. The Everton fans will find that well funny when they're 3-0 up at halftime. As for Wilf, glad he's still here but i was equally looking forward to a couple of new faces. Edited by .TUX.
