Does that make people complaining about the Conservatives throwing away the election, the Poorly Hung? I quite agree, remain and brexit were full of rhetoric and bulls***.

Corbyn ran a good campaign but he was never put under any pressure. There's a definite lack of heavyweights in the Tories and May not engaging the electorate was stupid. Look at what it did for Major (and now Corby) I wonder what Tom Watson is thinking, he was conspicuous by his absence this campaign

One things for sure, I don't buy this "remainers getting there own back" argument at all. If that were the case, lib dems would've performed significantly better. Corbyn clearly said we were leaving the single market and freedom of movement was ending, even if the likelihood would've been a "softer" brexit under his leadership.

Good point. But you do need to be truly a crap leader to lose your majority Parliament after a 20% lead. Come on she only called the election because she thought she would get a over a 100 seat majority. Now clinging to power before an internal coup. Edited by pefwin (09 Jun 2017 2.43pm)

I think what has been made clear is that actually the election was voted on many things besides brexit, something that May simply had no idea how to tackle.

Edited by pefwin (09 Jun 2017 2.43pm) Tories are ruthless. They won't take the chance of May being in charge for another election. But they MIGHT let her carry out Brexit, then give her the chop post Brexit- then it's her fault for any post Brexit issues, and they can get a much more favourable run up, under a new leader, for 2022. And let's face it, no obvious successor currently- Boris tarnished over £350 million claims plus copious other high profile errors. Rudd barely squeaked home and has blown a massive lead in her home constituency. Hammond has no charisma. Looking beyond the traditional great offices of state- no one really jumps out, barring maybe David Davis.

People upset because Tories are teaming up with the loyalists? Even if they didn't, Corbyn wouldn't be able to gain power as the Loyalists wouldn't negotiate with a Corbyn run Labour. So in that case Conservatives would run as a minority anyway. a 20 seat gain isn't a victory. A victory would of been a bigger increase so that the Coalition of Chaos can be put together to disband the UK. Imagine: So glad he's gained nothing from this, and look forward to Labour MPs putting someone more central in place to win back my vote. Edited by Hansy (09 Jun 2017 2.58pm)

I suspect that should the Conservatives and DUP form a government, then we'll start to see Sinn Fein participating in parliament. Seems like they could justify participation in parliament if it was to 'negate the influence of the DUP'. After months of 'terrorist' sympathiser rhetoric, May runs straight to the DUP.
