It is untrue. Sinn Fein were the IRA, they were the same entity. The DUP was not a terrorist organistaion. Sinn Fein are a political organisation. The DUP are a political organisation. No difference.

The fact is Hrolf, for months you've been saying how useless Corbyn / Labour are and the electorate have given you two fingers. Now you blame Labour's surge on stupid people. Why can't you just say you got it wrong like Stirlingsays has. Edited by nickgusset (09 Jun 2017 2.12pm)

Paisley didn't kill, or order to be killed, anyone. Adams and McGuiness did. Edited by hedgehog50 (09 Jun 2017 2.03pm) A Fascist newspaper's view of Paisley. Many loyalist paramilitaries have said they would never have become involved in violence had they not been inspired by the inflammatory rhetoric of Ian Paisley to counter the twin enemies of Rome and the Republic of Ireland.

There is little point debating.

There is little point debating. I'm afraid that Juncker probably feels the same way.

I'm not sure how you draw that conclusion - the only party offering any sort of "maybe we'll stay in after all" card were the Lib Dems, and their vote share barely changed. I think the way the leaders of the EU have behaved since the referendum has hardened views against them and, indeed, I've spoken to people who voted remain but have said they would switch to Leave if asked again (obviously a fairly unrepresentative sample). It's greatly complicated by the fact that we are already in, but if we were were not members and were to vote now on whether to join, knowing what we know about the way they operate and behave like petulant children when they don't get their own way, I'd think for about 10 seconds before voting "hell no" (and I didn't even vote to leave) Really? Nearly everyone I have spoken to who is British citizen and voted to 'leave' have said they would vote to remain in a 2nd referendum. Many said that as the story has unfolded they have realised what a disaster it would be for the UK and that they voted originally very naively and based on no real fact. Now the facts are coming out, many don't like the risk to their future or the future of their families, particularly their children. With regards to the EU acting like petulant children, all you're seeing is what the British press make up for their stories. the 'EU' is made up of 27 sovereign states and your viewpoint is typical - never understanding that there are 27 nations in these negotiations, not only the UK and one other. Now of course there has been a new raft of young people who can vote and as each month goes by, more will qualify age wise. A second EU referendum is now highly likey no matter what the British press will tell you and by then, even more young people will be voting. The whole idea of 'leaving' the EU was and still is a fad but it is a crumbling fad with the last 24 hours simply enforcing that fact. Edited by europalace (09 Jun 2017 2.18pm)
