I recently saw a video of a pull out version of this proudly being shown off in a classroom. On one hand I could understand why it provided a sense of security, but on the other how nuts that such a thing is even needed in the first place. With the familiar echo of 'Congress being pressured' to do something about guns, evidentally nothing of note will happen. Do people think there could ever be a sensible coming together on this front, or is to too valuable to each party to both effectively hold unworkable stances (restiction after restriction on one side, and guns galore on the other) Edited by footythoughts (29 Mar 2023 9.44am)

But in threads like this I am more concerned about it being used as a "whataboutism" tactic to divert attention from the subject. Fascist tendencies can be detected in some of the politics in both the USA and at home. They will, of course, be denied by those who hold such views, but must be called out. This is where learning from history is so important.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

So you define what a fascist is , in your opinion.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Depending on the accuracy of some references listed above certainly two of the three boxes appear to be ticked. Edited by SW19 CPFC (29 Mar 2023 1.16pm)
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

I would certainly not apply the tag fascist to the concerned citizens of Newquay Hammas would tick all the boxes.
