This has to be the worst England win ever. People will say "see Southgate got us to another quarter final...." What the f... were the England back four doing when in possession? It was simple time wasting when we were a goal down. Truly awful. We can thank god Bellingham showed his skill with 85 seconds to go.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

Southgate must have had a get out of jail card in his pocket. He might not be so lucky against Switzerland. I still ain't changed my mind after that Iceland friendly.That game was total rubbish, today's game we got lucky and,it wasn't a lot better. And to think some on here wanted Southgate as our next manager after Roy left, jeez, weren't we lucky.

Just showed how clueless Southgate and his coaches are . If thats the way he wanted to play after taking the lead he should have just taken EZE off for Konsa . It could have ended in tears because he cant think like a coach .

Even worse, we may win and have to suffer through more dire football. FFS play Wharton and get the ball moving forward - it's not rocket science.

The difference was Slovakia wanted to go forward and only back passed to the keeper once, the English back four did it with monotonous regularity as they had no idea how to go forward.
