i suspect the transfer may not be formalised for a little while as he is away with France at the moment, however, it does appear the Bayern move is all but complete.

It is unclear what we have received - i suspect it is £60m not 60m EUR (the £50.7m as some have quoted) as i find it difficult to see why Palace would put a Euro valuation in the release clause.

Regardless i see it 'fair' that Reading get 10% on the profit - clearly they need to money and 10% seems a reasonable amount.

With a release clause and an agent who wanted a big pay day before being banned he was always going to move on. I think Palace did all they could last year with a new contract - the big boys would always offer more.

Thank you for the memories.

Palace move on.

i thought he was more of a central attacking midfielder? I can see another player being bought as a direct replacement for Olise.

That is how we play, Two attacking midfielders, they are inverted, the width comes from Mitchell and Munuz

Yes and hence my question. Chelsea, Villa and Everton seem to be getting round PSR by selling unwanted players to each other at questionable prices enabling the selling club to book the full amount and the buying club amortising the purchase price over the length of the contract thereby reducing their losses for this financial year.

Or am I just being cynical?

The article certainly hints at a degree of creative accounting & collusion.

Alan Nixon has said that Palace hierachy have been left shocked that Olise has decided to leave to join Bayern.

Is Nixon just covering his arse because he said Olise was going to stay? It seems a pretty obvious move to me

Its always a shame when a top quality player leaves for a bigger club but I'm ok with it because he hasn't gone to a Prem club, we've made a massive profit on him which will be reinvested and Palace seem to now have a very good recruitment system in place. If the club dont have a short list of affordable/available replacements lined up I have little doubt that Glasner has a couple of good ideas to contribute.
Lets also not forget that Kamada is said to be poised to come in, Franca is now fit and so is Rak-Saki who both could reach similar heights with a spell under Glasner.
I like Olise and really hope he does well at Bayern but its Palace we all care about. I've already moved on.

Eze plays more in that style than Olise did who tended to receive the ball in a wider position and then cut inside. I don’t need a condescending message on how Palace play, I actually attend and watch.

Agree with the above. I wish Olise well at Bayern it’s a great club and I am happy it’s not Chelsea or another prem team. Time to look forward

I read a couple of different reports that suggest the deal has to be done by wednesday or the buy out clause expires.

Both articles said that Bayern have agreed with Olise but not sorted deal yet as their hierachy haven't sanctioned the bid for him.

May be true or may be rubbish.
