If Textor is desperate to buy Everton he will have to offload why should they offer him a great price.

Steve Parish just got interviewed on Sky Sports News. To sum up, mentioned Textor leaving and thanked all the owners. Said everything is fine - someone will come in and buy Textor's shares.

Copied this off the bbc's rolling sports news thingy . . . Palace in 'stable situation' despite Textor sale plans - Parish Alex Howell The transfer window has been a busy time at Crystal Palace, with Michael Olise leaving for Bayern Munich and interest in key players Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen. But that is not the only potential sale that is being worked on behind the scenes. John Textor owns about 45% of the Eagles but has made it clear that he wants to sell his stake to pursue a deal to buy another club, with Everton one of the options. Palace chairman and co-owner Steve Parish is the man in charge of running the club and said that the situation is amicable. "John has a multi-club setup and because he has a minority position in Crystal Palace it makes it more difficult for him to do the things that he wants to do," said Parish. "Personally, I think John is making as good a job as anyone in that multi-club situation, he has great assets. He wants a club that plugs into that where he controls everything that happens. We don't think that is right for us as a club right now. "We do collaborate with his clubs where we can. He wants to go and do something else, we're helping him do that. "John has supported the club financially, as we all have. He has put his part in and we have put our part in and we're all aligned on the strategy. "We're very happy to help John fulfil his ambitions. I was chatting to him on email while he was flying to Brazil last night. We will try to find the right people to come in his place. "Josh, David and I between us have 55%, with some friends. It's a very stable situation for the club and very amicable. We will work to wish John well and do our best to get him in the position we want him to be in."

Overall we are looking in good shape. if Textor can't find a bidder for his shares, he may be able to take up Harris and Blitzer on their very generous fall back offer.

With any luck someone buying his shares will plunge some cash into transfers.

Palace shouldn't be a very hard sell for potential investors. Lots of potential in the squad, current set up means the club regularly make a net profit on players while continuing to bring in top talent, and moves going on off-field to grow the club too.

So he will be the 3rd to have publicly been given the period of exclusivity to purchase / invest in Everton - if he doesn't choose to make a significant commitment with them it doesn't bode well for Everton having much hope of finding a buyer on their terms / in their situation.
