Then pine for Wickham instead Wickham - a player who hasnt been fit for 2 years and may never fully recover. Benteke - a player who scored 3 goals last year, and must have missed at least 20 good clean, solid chances to score. We must buy. What warms my cockles is Hodgson is already saying we have no money etc etc. This is Parish up to his fake news tricks again. Its EXACTLY what he and the manager were saying before the Sakho signing, then suddenly we stump up 26 million quid. I don't think anyone who supports us could argue that one. Listen I 100 Percent agree with you about Wickham and Bentheskey and Sorloth. We have never replaced Murray and for that we have AP to thank. I don't know the answer but Ayew isn't it.

The Facts of Life Sorloth is not good enough. Wickham will never be fit. Benteke can't hit a barn door. We'll go down if we don't buy a striker soon. We don't need a new stand in the Championship.

Get real ... the club is about football and has managed to exist for 113 years by playing it from time to time. The new stand would be lovely but it will be a white elephant with Championship crowds of 14 to 16k. Money needs to be spent on a goal scorer!

Money needs to be spent on a goal scorer! cobblers, we need a new stand AND a decent striker - the Loftus Cheeks of this world will be far more likely to stay in front of 30k+ inside a genuine prem stadium - the cow shed we call the main stand is a deterrent to quality additions - I quite like tripe but not the opinionated variety.

Like I said, those misses looked really bad. However, he basically said after the game that he has no confidence, whatsoever, and that had the goal against Chelsea last year not been incorrectly discarded, he would not have been where he is today. Things aren't always as they seem. Sorloth is better than this.

So, exactly as everyone says about Benteke, so with Sorloth, if he gets a goal from open play his confidence will soar and we will start to get the best of him...... but he cannot do that if he's not given game time!

Well, there you go ... $hithole Park needs updating and we all know that but crowds turn up to watch PL not Championship football. A goal scorer is an immediate priority because we could be relegated long before any ground is broken for a new stand. Not sure why you feel compelled to write like you do but not unexpectedly, we agree on the same issues.

That sounds like cobblers to me. The fact that the blind b*****d incorrectly chalked the goal off takes nothing away from the skill and ability he showed in that game. We see flashes of what he can do interspersed with some mighty dollops of truly remarkable excrement. Confidence may be a factor in this but the idea that a single good goal being chalked off months ago somehow explains all this toilet doesn't float my boat.

Decent strikers don't grow on trees. We had a couple, but the ego of the chairman and his mate got in the way.

It’s a conundrum that we have not solved for a few seasons now. It’s not like they have not had the chances, but poor finishing has been prevalent throughout the first half of this season. If Wickham was fit he is the answer, he is a handful for any defence. Something has got to change soon, because the thought of Tekkers coming back does not feel me with confidence...
