Hahaha. Your love for Parish is quite funny. I'm a w***er for calling him out for what it is? If this man is so great, why did he let us get down to almost pure liquidation before buying at the last minute? Anyone who knows the club well (and the administrators) know it was dodgy. What he has done for us since is unbelievable, and couldn't credit him more, but if you think trustworthy describes Steve Parish, you should probably educate yourself... RE: control freak comment - Allardyce, Pulis, Pardew, all signings and contracts made via consultation with Parish.. Maybe Watford giving Silva the free roam of transfers will play a huge part. That's what chairmen do.....what you think managers sign and negotiate....ha ha ha

Was told on day 1 of Allardyce that contact had been made with Silva and I have been told today that we're still very much interested. The issue is Silva taking his time. Porto are still very much in the mix and Watford are offering a more competitive financial package BUT Watford's policy of dispensing with coaches every five minutes is making Silva think carefully about his next move. This is what I've been told. Someone mugged me off when I initially broke Silva news, suggesting I make stuff up. So, get this straight. This is what I've been told by the same source who said we'd be interested when it looked like Porto was a done deal. we haven't even been in talks with Silva accordingto my source but I know I want mancini

He won't get free roam at watford as the pozos have compete control on transfers , he let the club go to the verge to get the club and ground together cheaply. You are also not calling it what it is , prove Silva is going to watford because of parish or stop talking out your arse.

You can lay Silva to go to Watford on Betfair at 1.2 which is cost of £20 to make £100. At 6pm the big money came in making it possible to lay close to back odds.

I think he's the best man out there at the moment. His form since joining Hull on the whole was good, over a course of a season equivalent to 44 points/12th place which is pretty outstanding seeing as Hull, with Sunderland, had by far the worst squads in the league. They sold their best 2 players in January as well. You could see from the reception the Hull fans gave him at Selhurst how well much respected him. He has an outstanding home record over the past few seasons, I heard somewhere that the Sunderland defeat was his fist home loss in 2/3 years. We could certainly do with improving our home form! I don't think he'll be able to attract a big name like Allardyce could, however he'll have excellent knowledge of the Greek and Portuguese leagues and will likely have some unknown to us targets lined up who will come on the cheap compared to English based players (e.g. Luka) He would have learnt a lot about Premier League football from his short stint at Hull and won't be so raw. The squad at Palace is far better than Hull's so you'd expect a decent point's tally from him. I think it would be a good move if we can get him. He wouldn't be a decent manager if he'd already managed Soorting Lisbon, Olympiakos and a Premier League club and linked with Porto before the age of 40.

Not that disappointed about silva. This is the toughest appointment in a while. There's no real stand out candidate. Sean dyche suits our players but would he attract quality players. I doubt it. Wagner or Stam maybe available if depending on play off result. Mancini doesn't want it.
