Finally a sensible post

also rumours that we wouldn't pay his wages in full, whereas Bournemouth paid £2mill and will pay his £80k a week wages.

That said, they must have saved a fortune from their medical staffs wages, what with them now being sacked for letting him get through a medical.....

He has not played 90 minutes for about 2 years, going to take a while to get match fit.And the chances are he will continue to pick up injuries given his track record.Would have been interesting to see him in a Palace shirt but i really think we've missed a bullet there.

We'll never know what a difference he might have made because we couldn't afford him. Move on.

As he's not here, I'm gonna go with Dodged Bullet!
Can’t help thinking that with the amount of time he’s going to be in possession of the ball, it's only a matter of time before one of the inevitable half decent tackles will put him back in the treatment room for another year.

If he stays fit he will improve Bournemouth by 50%. I would have loved him here. A fully fit Wilshere would walk into 90% of Prem teams. The only reason no one else was interested was fitness

Bournemouth were willing to take a bigger gamble than us over him, we could of afforded to keep up with them as well although that doesn't mean that he would of come here in any case. Suspect the Arse might of upped the ante even more, even though they seemed to be holding all of the hands as Bournemouth have stumped all of his salary etc. The guy has played only 1 full 90 mins since 2014. If there is a no break clause in the contract, this means that they cannot return him to the Arse. Whilst I would have him in a shot at the Palace it does raise questions about the whole loan deal system what with 3 year deals also now being undertaken.

Do we even have full Wheelchair access at Selhurst?

I hear that was the decisive factor.

Many of us have emphasised the injury risks. You have to admire Bournmouth for taking them and personally I really hope it pays off for them and Wilshire. If Palace turned down the possibility of having Wishire here, then maybe they thought the risk wasnt worth taking?
