Look what Chelsea and Tottenham have got going up. So where there is money and a will there is a way. Maybe we should wait now until we are more established and probably sold to a Chinese consortium with billions wanting to redevelop the old Crystal Palace and the park and build a 50,000 new stadium. .........erm haven't we been here before? Sounds to me like precious little is going down other than maybe us. is jerry lim coming back than , what do you know

i think it makes sense to do it while we are in the championship will be less havoc that way Championship clubs lose money, as we did. A major infrastructure investment is very unlikely without a benevolent owner, like Brighton, who are a bit of an exception. And even if you do, it can still go badly wrong, like Davies at Bolton. Our current shareholders will not pile in more money, and certainly not on major infrastructure, if we're relegated. If the worst does happen, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that the newer investors may want out. As for the marginal improvements to the Main Stand, mentioned in another post above, that's just a turd polishing exercise on a structure that will need to either be replaced or decommissioned in the not too distant future. Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave There's shed loads of stuff that need doing as a priority. Secondly the Main Stands Safety Certificate, which is on borrowed time. I imagine the owners are just fire-fighting to keep the stadium operational, and longer-term development is simmering away on the back-burner.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

Longer term development of any significance with a modern 35 - 40,000 stadium will only be possible if we remain in the PL.
