Just had an email from Maddy Carroll at 38 degrees stating that I should get out and vote tomorrow as my constituency, Rhondda, is too close to call!!! F*ck me if that's the case Labour may as well shut up shop.
I would actually decline to vote for her, if it had been my intention before, after such a missive. How close is it in Hevon, Kermit?

I think I may have signed up to one of these online petitions (38 degrees) and she is a administrator. She has worked out how many people signed petitions in the surrounding post codes and found a pollster who says Labour will get 49% and Plaid will get 28%. This is very different to other polls I've seen. I've already done my postal vote for Labour but I've learnt my lesson, don't sign online petitions

Well for those of you who are outside London or didn't get the Standard this evening, they are suggesting that in London Labour have "raced" into a 13 point lead and will gain 5 (possibly 6)seats from the Tories and two from the Lib Dems, with another three seats too close to call. Ukip has attracted 12% of 2010 election Tory voters and 4% of Labour, but no seats predicted (or even close) and not even any second places. This indicates that Tories defecting to UKIP have handed Labour a number of London seats. On the other hand, it could be an alarm call to Tories who plan on defecting to UKIP so that they will revert to voting conservative, as the paper has come out very strongly behind the Tories in editorials.

Interesting that Miliband and Cameron are now both even money to be Prime Minister after the election. Looks like people can't call it.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

As the Tories seem to like publishing letters/documents signed by many people here is one that may interest them, somehow I doubt they would be interested:

Trying to work out what the best tactic is to follow the election result? If it wasn't a school night I would watch the whole thing but don't think I can manage the "no sleep" policy anymore! Might just get up early, i'd imagine that by 5am a substantial number of results will be in. Also means that if results aren't going the way I want then I can make an early start with our emigration plans...

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

I'm staying up until the exit poll (around 11pm over here) then going to bed. It's tempting to stay up all night but it's about 3% excitement, 97% commentators dribbling on saying not very much at all.
