From the days when they would march up cave hill waving gun licences to more recently soliciting electoral support from sectarian killers, they have always been involved in the dark world of loyalist paramilitaries

Not terrorists but risk-takers with Northern Ireland peace. As opposed to non-participants like Corbyn.

Plenty of members of the DUP in the day had associations with groups like the UDA, UVF etc. who were involved in terrorist activities that supported the DUP agenda. Ian Paisley was involved with the formation of several 'milita' in Northern Ireland. Just because they were aimed against the IRA, doesn't mean they weren't a terrorist group. Interesting that forming a coalition with a Nationalist party is ok with Conservatives, given how much fuss they made of the possibility of a SNP and Labour alliance.

Lets not mince words, there are plenty among the loyalist and unionist factions that had as much contact with terrorism as Sinn Fein in the 80s, and groups like the UVF etc took their direction and inspiration from people within the DUP - Esp Ian Paisley. We're just a lot less honest about it.

The result is very bad for Britain. A lot of naive students and self interested minorities have tried to hijack our negotiating power. Or as I see it, exercised their legal democratic right to express their views, opinions and beliefs, irrespective of attempts to curtail them by fear mongering, threats and doomsaying. It doesn't matter what our negotiating power is if we're negotiating in a manner that doesn't reflect the will of the people.

They must be feeling very energised by what has happened. Quite. Its not the victory, but its a big win for them in terms of legitimacy. For Corbyn its massive as it does show public support.

The delusion continues. Er... not you, that's for sure. His grasp of reality is as tenuous as Abbot's is of maths.
