Now there is someone I would have voted for. Corbyn with integrity, and reliability.

I'll skip his fried chicken on health grounds

Anyway, I think I will leave these political threads alone as I only get on my 'Soapbox' and my blood pressure must get very raised ! Best I stick to the football debates !

I reminded me of when the Tories used to 'crash' themselves over Europe back in the late 80s and 90s.

People who are strongly allied to one side I don't think can really understand why they did badly, and use the old football cliché, we were s**t, and not that the other side absolutely kicked it right in the d*ck (sorry been watching a lot of Ozzy Man reviews).

Which kind of makes sense. Corbyns been an MP for donkeys years, and maintained a seat despite being somewhat controversial, a back bencher and unpopular within the Labour party.

But still, remained an MP, since 1983. Which to me suggests that he can probably campaign really well, even when up against it (he wasn't popular with the Blarites and Brown).

He does seem to be able to campaign rather well, and I think we saw that in the election. The Tories can't have been that bad, they increased their seats and won seats in Scotland.

I think its just that Corbyn is a lot better at campaigning and public interaction than maybe he is at internal party politics.

Next time you'll have the stain of the DUP, the loss of any credibility in Scotland and Wales, the worsening impact of more austerity, the stark reminder that Grenfell is concerning Cameron's attitude toward health and safety, and the mess that the Tories will undoubtedly make of Brexit given what a poor fist their making of it so far. For Labour not to win the next GE (whoever is in charge of either party) would be a surprise. Lots can change but that's where my money would be right now.

But you will still have the problem of getting a British electorate to vote for a Marxist, communist-lite government.

I thought 40% did a few weeks ago for the lot you are alluding to? Not too far to go for a proper victory next time then.

Two points. Labour would need 60 more seats to get an overall majority - not going to happen. Second point, Hitler was elected too.

Every society has the privileged - who do you think gets the goodies in North Korea?

Why the constant references to foreign lands or does it make you feel better despite the obvious facts?

Not really. It was proportional representation so the NSDAP was elected as the largest party in a coalition

The obvious fact is that there are privileged elites in all types of society.
