You wouldn't seriously expect anyone in government or the civil service to cancel their 6 week summer break would you? It's probably why so far there has been little impact of Brexit ...there's no one around governing or administrating!

I don't see the government taking any advantage out of Brexit. They should be using their freedom already to overturn EU legislation. Not like there is anything the EU can really do now. Their first priority should be to sort out the heavy industries such as Coal, gas and steel but I'm not really seeing anything. In the vast majority of cases, If you are going to overturn legislation you will need to replace it with something. You can't just say something doesn't apply anymore. Also we are still in Europe so said legislation still applies anyway. Rise on national pride? I haven't seen much, a little post Olympics but that's it. Anyone see Liam Fox's comments? I make him pretty much spot on.
