I want Wilf out off our club,he doesn't want to play for us. I think it's unforgivable handing a transfer in a day before the window shuts. Get out off my club. Best post that I have seen today. I agree the quicker he packs his bags and goes to Everton the better and have it written in the bill of sale that there will be NO return when things go tits up like when he went to Manure Utd. I am afraid he has got too big for his boots and his ego is way over the top.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle You just cannot underestimate what a disrupting influence he could now be on the team. I'm not saying he will, but the signs are bad. As painful as it might be for us, I would be tempted to bench him and make him train with the U23's and try and negotiate a move for him at Christmas or if its Chelsea then we would have to wait until next summer and then it becomes even more of a problem. How on earth can we expect a player who openly wants to leave to turn up and try his hardest. The fans are going to crucify him and I can guarantee you he will go missing on the pitch if he turns out for the first team. This is about as big a screw up all round as you could ever get. If we cannot currently afford to buy another winger I would say get a directors loan, go buy Sarr now and put him in the team. The directors can be paid off when Wilf eventually goes. Screw him, I've personally had enough of his antics now.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle There is stuff going on behind the scenes that none if us will ever know about. It is all guess work and speculation. If Wilf has handed in a transfer request then he done so with a club in mind. ( I dont think this club is Everton) It is heart wrenching for us because we all love to watch him play and it would be horrible to see him play for someone else but no matter what happens we have to get used to him not being here because we can't keep playing this type of football and relying on him to pull magic out ot the hat. Regardless of what happens today we will be fine with or without him, talk of relegation is madness if he leaves. We will just change the way we play and move along as normal.

Have to agree with you there mate. I did understand that he wanted to move on, but changing his story from CL club, to Arsenal, to Everton, bleeding Everton (I’ve said enough already) and now a transfer request has really soured me. This for me has changed from ‘I want to play for a big club’ (gutting but understandable) to ‘I don’t want to play for Palace’ (Judas). He’ll have to win fans back over I’d imagine if, and if, he stays and we can only speculate what effect it will have on the dressing room and his teammates, but I’m guessing it’s negative. Really hoping Chelsea put something in place but highly unlikely. I’d imagine that would save our season and put a line under this. If Everton come in with an £80 million plus bid I'd accept it. You make a good point how this will upset the dressing room. If Wilfs gonna be a bad egg in the dressing room and on the training ground best we line up Wilfs replacement and take the money.

Personally I can't understand the negative things peeps are say about wilf.... Yes he wants to go but look at what he's done over the years for us, got us to the premiership when He requested to finish what he started (he could have just gone man utd and under fergie I think he would cemented he's place by the time moyes had taken over).... He's been one of our top performers over the last couple of seasons. Don't u think our club is holding him to ransom that's why he's handed in a transfer request (70m plus two players and one which we have just signed). I personally don't want to see him go as we will struggle this season without him but I think wilf owes us nothing and good luck to him I am afraid you are being very niave. He is trying to hold the club to ransom and deserves every bit of vitriol he gets.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle If he remains a Palace player, lets get behind him. I'm sure the majority would anyway. We need a motivated Wilf. The worst outcome would be that we keep him, he sulks, plays badly, then he gets signed for £40m in January. We have no idea what conversations/promises have been made behind the scenes. Lets not point the finger at anyone as we don't know who's to blame for this fallout. For all we know, Wilf could have been made promises from Parish which he has no honoured.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Wilf should leave now and let the club get on with the season in front. For me, we owe him absolutely nothing. He has been treated well and paid accordingly. Thanks Wilf and goodbye!

I think there is quite a bit of fact in there actually. Agreed. Even if wilf was promised a move for peanuts...leaving it until the last day of transfer is silly In any case, I don't think our squad looks too bad. If we get a striker in I'd be happy.
