The attack on the infrastructure was a way of letting the German political elite know that its fate is not decided in Berlin. A reminder to them that they lost WW2 and they better not forget it. Unless of course, anybody can give me a single rational reason why Russia would destroy its own gas supply pipes? All ears on that one.

What is a reliable source or isn't has nothing to do with how official it is. Government lie all the time....you just posted yourself on how communications can be expedient. A point you've made several times over the years on Hol....it's just a nice way of sanctioning lying. Well, for me, lies are still lies, whether you support the side who says them or not. I recognise that all governments lie, none of them play with a straight bat.....some might lie less than others but that's the unfortunate reality. What something like Telegram does is it allows the individual to make their own minds up....they can look at pro channels from either side. Then they can be their own 'editor' and decide for themselves what the truth is. What I'd say to anyone is look for yourself, never take my word or anyone's word for something. Find sources who's predictions match with the actual results of what happens before you treat them as 'reliable sources'. Also using your own grey cells helps. There are too many just willing to nod along to whatever they are told. Thankfully and to my gain, I've never quite been that person. Edited by Stirlingsays (18 Oct 2022 7.23pm)

According to the Iranians, over the past week, 22 countries have submitted requests for the purchase of their drones. Considering who they have been designed to attack I'd imagine Israel isn't one of them. War is horrible, however states will be looking at their effectiveness allied to their relative cheap purchase price.

The Russians are expecting the Ukrainians are preparing to throw everything available they have against the Kherson battleline very soon....looking to take the city. The Russians say that they are under orders from Biden and the state department to take this region before the mid terms. A significant upcoming battle is expected.

Edited by Stirlingsays (18 Oct 2022 7.23pm) I cannot decide whether that is simply naïve, disingenuous or just ignorant. Having editorial oversight over anything which is published anywhere, which includes access to legal advice and staff who check the validity of sources, ensures that it becomes much more difficult for fake news to get aired. That has nothing to do with publishing controversial opinions, some of which can appear outrageous to others. That's all fine. It's the publication of lies which is the concern. Deliberate, untrue stories, and manipulated videos, produced by malign actors designed to portray an alternative perspective to that shown in the MSM. Such material would be edited out of any respectable MSM media, but not out of the unedited ones, who loudly proclaim "free speech" whilst actually spreading propaganda for our enemies. Allowing the individual to make their own mind up seems obvious, but you cannot be "your own editor". You just don't have the resources. The trouble is that the quality of what is on offer often seems authentic and, if distrust in the MSM has already been engineered by the malign actors, as it has. many of those minds are already conditioned to reject the truth and accept the propaganda. If we know, as we do, that people have been so indoctrinated, and the material so good, that their minds are incapable of making accurate interpretations, then it is the duty of our governments to step in and regulate. That they struggle to do this, for fear of suppressing free speech, is sad but eventually must change. Being economical with the truth is not to lie. It's being selective, and careful, with how much of the truth you reveal. The motivations can be honourable, or devious, but isn't lies. Any government telling an actual lie would deserve all that's coming to them. Genuine mistakes, aren't lies. Nor are half truths. We don't spend all our lives in a court room, where the whole truth is demanded. Nor filling in an insurance application where similar candour is required. Predictions and actual events matching are no guide at all to the reliability of any source. Some predictions are easily made. Some just lucky. Some deliberately obtuse to confuse the enemy. Using your brain certainly matters. It's though sad to witness those who believe they are, but aren't.

WE doesn't actually review or visit these sources himself, he just gives his opinion with no evidence other than his biases. The mainstream media apparently, can choose which stories to run and which to omit, what narrative to give to those stories and tell you what you should think.....and you should be happy. Take your propaganda like a good little sheep....just as long as it's mainstream....because apparently lawyers checking on what you should know matters a lot.....So the German citizen doesn't get to know who blew up their pipelines that they have to pay for...because 'national security'.....well how about the angle that in reality it's elites protecting themselves from criticism for decisions that have bad outcomes. Apparently the MSM only tell you what's in your best interest and about protecting you from 'fake news'...just giving you the truth, except when they deem it not to be in your interest....which of course you should agree with. Well, I say b0llocks to that. I say whoever is curating information has their own agenda...that's whether it's us or the Russians or anyone else. What matters to me is what is true....I don't accept lies or any BS language meaning the same thing. I say the individual should take in multiple sources and decide for themselves what the truth is.....using their own brain....which apparently only mainstream 'editors' can do. Like I said, wherever a news source is coming from.....use your own brain to ascertain whether it's BS or not.....compare the news you are given with what the result is....don't trust talking heads who don't stand up to scrutiny or who won't admit or review mistakes when they are wrong....you will notice that they just don't mention it again...deliberate omission is probably where most lying is done. I'm happy for people to compare both of mine and WE posts and decide for themselves who they can trust on the material they read, themselves or the mainstream media.

Both sides need to be squeezed before they go around a table. Russia running short of weapons and trained professional soldiers has squeezed them. Ukraine's infrastructure being damaged may squeeze them. Perhaps this may provide the nudge needed for an internationally appointed mediator to begin a round of talks that can lead to a cease fire and then direct talks. I would love that to happen. If we could end this tomorrow and even undo some of the considerable cold war damage done it would be great.....unfortunately it isn't going to happen now. I think if you had been following this closely you would understand that the chance for this went in late March, early April. People who have been taking note understand that an agreement was pretty close. Essentially the state department and Johnson decided that this was a great opportunity to weaken Russia both economically and militarily without losing their own people....using the Ukraine to fight till the last Ukrainian, so to speak. I think they massively underestimated just how damaging this war would be to our own economies....pretty much the hubris of many wars...and the damage it would do in strengthening anti-western countries.....I called this war as a disaster the moment it turned cold. Anyway, they are going to put out their mobilization and countless more are going to die. What should concern all of us is the 'all in' nature of both Russia and Nato with this war...I'm not even going to mention Ukraine in regards to that as I think they are puppets at this point with little real agency. From what I can gather, the earliest negotiation can happen now is after the results of that.....whatever it is. I hear that they are putting thousands into combat each day and that the full 300,000 will be fighting mid to late November. The Ukraine troops out number the Russians at the moment but we will see what happens then....I imagine the Ukraine are also getting as many mercenaries as they can. Putin's latest words tend to suggest that he's mind is as closed as Zelensky's are on negotiation.....this will be decided in blood. It's a human disaster that should have been avoided. Germany: 80 years after foundation: German furniture manufacturer Hülsta insolvent. 85 years after foundation: Large bakery chain Thilmann insolvent. 125 years after foundation: German construction company Wolff Hoch- und Ingenieurbau insolvent. 130 years after foundation: German confectionery manufacturer Bodeta insolvent. 156 years after foundation: German automotive supplier Borgers insolvent. 170 years after foundation: German soap maker Kappus insolvent. All of the above insolvencies were reported in the last 24 hours....god knows what's coming down the line for them. Germany needs a government that best represents its interests and not the neo cons in the US.
