This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Despite all the breaking rumours yesterday evening, there is nothing in terms of updates this morning from any of the major news outlets. Other than being linked with Sarr along with Watford being interested.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle The difficulty is that we all actually don't know what is going on. Sky were adamant that a second bid from Everton happened only for them to deny it. I think we should wait and see today. What is interesting is the McCarthy deal. I would have thought they'd keep him if they were looking for a deal including him. Selling him could mean that they are keen to get rid and they are not confident that Wilf will leave. I think the best deal (as I think Wilf going is inevitable) would anything above £70m plus Walcott. He could do a good job for us and if Wilf goes there I can see Walcott losing his place in the team.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I think Wilf will still be a palace player by the end of the window. Of course there have been rumours of us looking at other wingers but nothing as concrete as the stories for the players we have signed or for the likes of Chalov. If the club felt a deal for Wilf was close there would be more links to other wingers.

One suspects their new stadium will be completed before any work is started on our new stand. They are a bigger club - bigger fanbase, more resources, established in the PL etc etc.

Walcott wont get a look in at Everton if Calvert-Lewin, Kean, Zaha and Richarlison are available. Tosun probably ahead of him as well

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Nothing at all on SSN in two hours - no visits to the ground. Everton reporter claims a Wilf deal could still be on. SSN just said Palace are waiting for news on their increased offer for Chalov (which we already knew) - but "time is running out". Is that because he would have to get here from Moscow for a medical - and needs a visa too?

Is that because he would have to get here from Moscow for a medical - and needs a visa too? A medical in Moscow would be possible (assuming we have the right contacts, or can make some) and we could complete the transfer, provided we're sure he can get a work permit, which we could take a legal opinion on today (if we haven't already). I'd hope we've already checked out the work permit position before bidding. With us, it's usually more about the money though.
