The more I see of him the more a like him as a person. His empathy for the people after the fire is impressive and I am definitely warming to him. His spending policies are of course barking but personally he is good

Somehow this concerns me more. That effectively the Conservative party are buying the DUP's votes in order to push through an agenda that clearly isn't supported by the electorate (having called an election to establish that mandate in the first place). ..The DUP demands are not just hidden from us but hidden from Sinn Fein by a neutral party within the NI power structure. Teri May is playing fast and loose with the NI agreement.

To take any risk at all with the peace process says everything about the way we are governed by reckless and irresponsible tories. If we are, or are becoming the next basket-case as others may be starting to view the UK, it will be self-inflicted.

The Tories are in total panic mode. They need to do something before the first vote of no confidence. Their best and last hope is to last to the summer recess (20/07).

This is my final post on this thread - lot of utter hogwash written on here by lefties who just have to get over the fact that their beloved Labour were nearly 60 seats behind the Conservatives and we thankfully still have a Conservative PM in 'No 10' and NOT someone who would have destroyed our economy.

Edited by Willo (16 Jun 2017 11.59am) If only you and other Tories like you had trusted and stayed loyal to your leader last year and backed him and his Referendum stance the country would not be in this mess and heading for a future which is even messier.

Edited by Willo (16 Jun 2017 11.59am) Its snowflake time. Yep, nearly 60 seats behind, from a 'certain landslide' that would wipe Labour from the political map and leave the Conservative in charge for a generation. Its not bad for a man who's own parliamentary party have spent more time trying to get rid of him than the conservatives. And now they've had to get in bed with their own terrorist sympathisers, in order to form a government. Also, if you're in a low skilled, or semi-skilled job, the economy is already f**ked for you. The austerity failures just added to the woes that New Labours embrace of the Free Movement wrought. I seriously think the Conservative might even lose an election if it was held now, against a man who was 'unelectable'.

"As a Scandinavian who has spent more than a decade living in Britain, nothing has made me feel more foreign than observing the current election. From his style to his policies Mr Corbyn would, in Norway, be an unremarkably mainstream, run-of-the-mill social-democrat. His policy-platform places him squarely in the Norwegian Labour Party from which the last leader is such a widely respected establishment figure that upon resignation he became the current Secretary-General of NATO. Yet, here in the United Kingdom a politician who makes similar policy-proposals, indeed those that form the very bedrock of the Nordic-model, is brandished as an extremist of the hard-left and a danger to society. So who is right? Is the Norwegian Labour movement some dangerous extremist group that unknowingly has occupied the furthest leftist fringe of the political spectrum? If so, a casual glance at the UN’s Human Development Index would suggest that Norway certainly has not suffered as a result of successive Labour-dominated governments. Or is it, perhaps, that the British media’s portrayal of Corbyn, and by extent his policies are somewhat exaggerated and verging on the realm of character assassination rather than objective analysis and journalism? It is probably not without reason that a recent report by the European Broadcasting Union found that the United Kingdom among all of the EU member-states (+Albania, FYROM & Turkey) scores the lowest in levels of trust in written media. Do you think Lefties will start waring flares and tank tops again to celebrate a return to the 1970's? 1970's policies with a mix of puritanical liberalism and a pandering to every possible minority at the expense of the the majority. I don't think that is a future I want thanks.
