Absolutely true. Trouble is how is anyone to know when a mod speaks as a mod or when on a personal level, however fair or unfair the comments maybe.

Mods may know, but we mere mortals can only guess. And as moderators wield power it cannot be said to be a level playing field, where mere mortals pay the ultimate price.

You also have the power to stop a thread as you did last night (Jake D'Eagle Thread) because in your opinion people were 'bickering'. That was your personal opinion, whereas mine was that it was a reasonable debate which was getting a little passionate.
Therefore mods are not the same as everyone else because if they don't like what's happening they can 'take their ball back' when most of us want to carry on playing.

I think you'll find I wasn't critisising anyone, just making a point in reply to another mods earlier post.

I agree DRT. Cucking is a decent poster who's opinions I often agree with, and of course there has to be moderation. But it seems that saying something like sling your hook if you don't like our opinion is infantile. (For the want of a better word)
