It's almost like there's absolutely no correlation between being woke and being good at football. There isn't. Just like there's no correlation between those who tell footballers what to think and the rest of the country.

It has long been my belief that no action affecting this nation, whether that be political, economic, footballing or any other reason, should be done so without the consultation of Joey Barton. The oracle has now spoken. He's good with legal and marriage or relationship advice.

i bet the referees go easy on Croatia this evening. They don't want France to face Messi in the final.

Back on topic, Argentina has made it to the final in style. Since game 1 they've managed to improve every game. I used to wish they lost (after the Falkland's war and Hand of "god", but they've basically had very little going for them since. A disaster of a country, just because of the political "leaders". The people there are actually quite nice. Although they need to put back the name of the English Tower. If it's them vs. France, I will likely be rooting for them. Can't have the froggies winning again. In the US the Mbappe worshipers are beyond irritating. Although the Messi worshipers aren't far behind. Edited by Daddyorc (13 Dec 2022 10.12pm)

Edited by Daddyorc (13 Dec 2022 10.12pm) I'm all for France getting knocked out, and the Argies did put on a masterlcass yesterday so it's not beyond the realms of posisbility. In my view we held our own against France but it just wasn't to be. There's nothing quite like an underdog story though and so I'll be cheering on Morrocco tonight, as unlikely as it is that they will win.

Morocco will not be as forgiving to the referee if he tries the crap he did against England. They'll shove the ball up their shirts and harrass and harangue him like a company of screaming dervishes.
