I have never understood why people get so upset over things like this.

No one is suggesting this guy cannot hold, express or write scripts about his opinions.

All they are doing is saying they don’t want them heard in their space. Other spaces are available, including the free ones available to everyone where you can say whatever you like, so long as you stay within the law.

The same applies to social media platforms which remove things they don’t want to be associated with. He who pays the piper calls the tune.

It would be both illogical and totally unreasonable for it to be unlawful for any individual or business to refuse to book, or publish, someone, or something, that in their opinion could harm them.

Opinions do matter. Including those of the owners of spaces.

...rather like a baker refusing to bake a cake because they don't agree with the wording on the cake...

Oh but you DO understand, but for reasons best known to yourself you get off on being deliberately obtuse. If you read the article you would see a legal opinion that the cancellation is likely to constitute unlawful discrimination. Surely that is reason enough to be upset...or do you like to see people discriminated against?

Absolutely correct.

Anybody who faces prejudice and discrimination in any given place should just go elsewhere, there are other locations available. What a noble stance to take.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Why am I not surprised at this response?

Actually it isn’t like it at all. The piper (literally) in the cake case is the baker and the one paying them is the customer. It would be like the performer in this case accepting the booking but then not turning up because they didn’t like some of the messages on the posters outside.

So long as they stay with the law.

Many things considered prejudice or discriminatory are unlawful.

I've never understood why people get so upset by others not having the Covid vaccine but some people are just intolerant of any opinion other than their own.
