The penalty he gave away at MU was just incredibly stupid, it was so bad it looked like he was deliberately trying to give MU a penalty. Before anyone starts having a go at me, i obviously know he wasn't, just that it looked like it.

I was thinking that if we are going to rest him then maybe Kouyate can take on that role which then might allow us to get Camarasa involved further up the pitch. A midfield of Kouyate sitting deep along with Zaha and Townsend providing the width, Meyer in the middle where he should be with Camarasa just in front or along side him and Ayew up top. That would be a creative midfield IMO.

Actually he was doing good things like this last season but was clearly under orders to what Hodgson wanted and that was very clear in matches. He never believed he would finish a match but the emotion showed at our win at Wolves, revealed the true conviction of the man, he wants to score and wants to play at Palace. Its tough for player on loan, with his home etc down in Wales, living out of a suitcase etc. Originally posted by kevlee

Maybe some of the difference is that last year he was a loan player, this year he is contracted - maybe he is a player that needs to feel he belongs somewhere / is really wanted ?

I agree with you and he did try and an give them a penalty (Not in the throw the game type of way) but it looked like some sort of tactical foul you would normally see on the half way line when a team tries to break fast. Maybe he was just exhausted and his brain gave up thinking straight ?

Hard work brings rewards. Ayew grafts for the team and is in effect the first line of defence. He's looking a very shrewd bit of business.
