So I believe!

I just had a rant on the Starmer page about the quality of the Labour candidate so now for balance I will do the same for the Tories.

Shaun Bailey is as charismatic as a plank of wood and yet the media are claiming he is close to dethroning Khan. Last month I read an article that the Tories has reduce spending on London as they believed he was a poor candidate who had failed to attract sponsors and it was a waste of their money.

If he losers by a whisker the Tories only have themselves to blame. If they had done a better job or had put a better candidate in place they would win. If he does win they got lucky.

Almost as bad as Labour and Hartlepool.

Without doubt, most kids went to the ladies underwear section.
I was a bit of a lateral thinker myself, and as I recall there were a fair few catalogues with bathroom accessories. There was always a naked lady behind a frosted shower screen, with just a bit of bottom showing, posing with a loofah or some such bathroom essential.

But I was slightly irked by Khan's re-election. I moved from London many years ago, but I recall how Ken Livingstone revitalised public transport, amongst other innovations under his stewardship.
I felt Boris let his personal political ambitions blight his Mayorship. The scrapping of the Crystal Palace Park tramlink extension on day 1. Then scrapping the proposed Congestion Charge extension into Kensington and Chelsea.

But Khan is just a horrible human being. Rather than condemn Islamic terrorists in London, he sought to condemn all extremists, with reference to Trump supporters.
The guy has an agenda, but it doesn't seem to be putting Londoners first.
Then again, you can blame the opposition (or lack of) for fielding such utter dog5hlte candidates

I disengage, I turn the page.

Well Khan won and the Tories must be kicking themselves if they had a better candidate I expect they would have won.

3 more years of "blame the government because I can't manage my budget".

And a whole host of renamed streets and train lines apparently

Scary!!
He is more interested in this crap than running London.
Ultimately he will do way more harm than good.
I think that Boris has something up his sleeve for Sad Dick - time will tell.

Reduce the power of the mayor will be the easiest way. Make him nothing more than a social function figurehead as mayors are in other cities. I've never understood why the London mayor has such power anyway.

Actually he has a point about the Overground although I doubt I will agree with the name changes.

At it's inception the idea was that the Overground would be a larger version of the circle line covering London like the M25.

Instead we have a mish mash of lines that don't meet up. For example I am near Penge West when I go to Olympia I should be able to jump on the Overground at Penge and get off at Olympia, no chance.

So leaving the name bit aside it is confusing to have a system that does not connect up and rename the parts that make sense.
