Fifa didn’t want Germany out and tried as hard as possible to keep them in and now this cheating and incorrect free kick and penalty gifts.

A World Cup aberration to add to the Hand of God, the French victory in 1998, awarding it to Qatar, the Germany v Austria game in 82 and, dare I say, Hurst's second goal in 66.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

If you are going to award penalties for that then VAR must be used for every decision . France first goal from a free kick for a blatant dive,

Llorois another cock up in a major game , usually costs Spurs , got away with it this time.

In terms of the Ronaldo is he/is he not saga?

Think VAR has worked ok generally but not on handballs - been a few contentious decisions.

Wonderful to see Steve Mandanda looking so happy today celebrating France's great success.
Such a talent and a shame his stay with us made him so thoroughly miserable.

First French goal, Griezman dives, i dont think anyone can argue against that when you watch the replay. He actually ran over to his favorite spot and waited for the challenge to come.

Second French goal, how is that NOT a penalty ? Sure it takes a minor deflection, but the Croatians hand moves into the path of the ball rather than away from it.

Last 2 French goals, keeper was apparently unsighted as he moved late for both, tho i would say Pickford would have saved both.

Can't go with you on that. You don't sign for a club and spend your entire time there behaving like you don't want to be there.

F*ck him.

Lucky man to be involved in a world cup winning team behind a very error prone keeper.
Another Lloris cock up in a big game.
Makes some great saves but seems to crumble on big occasions.

I hate to spoil the party, but I thought it was a penalty too. I’ve seen them given for a lot less.

And a Frank Lampard shot that crossed the line by about a yard, but all the officials were looking the other way.

And usually for the big club/team, especially if they’re at home, versus the small one.
