Whilst we have had some terrific strikers over the years, my word we have had some bad ones. This guy must fall into this category. He can be welcomed by Ade Akinbiyi, Wayne Andrews, Calvin Andrew, Sandor Torgelle, Aaron Wilbraham amongst others. Shortly to be joined by Jordan Ayew I suspect.

Speak slowly ?? Did you type that slowly so I could understand The ball crashingly obvious point here is that players don't just turn up on a Sunday Morning, half pissed and put some boots on for 20 mins to see if they are worth a start next game. The coach and staff watch and train with the player 5 days a week, where he is constantly being drilled skilled and assesed, he has had that since he joined the club, and was STILL overlooked in favour of Wilf and Andros upfront. Last nights game for Norway goes some way to proving my point, he can't finish his dinner. And yes it is possible to judge a player from his training and attitude, how do you think Wan Bissake got his chance. Your being naive, he is clearly not Premiership Standard, and my guess is he will leave in Jan or the summer once we have a replacement.

Probably could score goals in the Championship so should be retained given our trajectory of travel.

Some of those at least put a bit of effort in

I agree with you, people saying he hasn’t had game time etc, don’t realise he hasn’t played as he is useless. The miss last night for Noreay was no surprise.

We will stay up, he will go to the Championship and score a hatful of goals, fire his team into the Premiership and then get sold to another Championship, where he will score more goals - repeat. Every time he scores, someone will come on here and say that we should never have sold him and that he would have scored 20 goals a season if only we had kept the faith.

There is no proof or tarck record that backs up that theory throughout his career he struggled to score until he wound up in the Danish league, which if you've ever watched it is worse than the Scottish 3rd tier. If you want any further evidence of his unerring ability to turn certain goals into Goal kicks then a quick look on YouTube for his chances last night, and the one against Spuds should show you. Secondly I would like to ask what fuels peoples blind optimism with regards to s*** players that we have signed i.e. Mutch, Sanogoals, Lee, Sorloth, Akinbruno, to name but a few. Sorloth Your just a s*** Aaron Wilbraham

Yes I fully agree. Its a sad state of affairs when we are pining for Benteke. No sure what else we can do. I have next to no expectations in January. Then pine for Wickham instead Wickham - a player who hasnt been fit for 2 years and may never fully recover. Benteke - a player who scored 3 goals last year, and must have missed at least 20 good clean, solid chances to score. We must buy. What warms my cockles is Hodgson is already saying we have no money etc etc. This is Parish up to his fake news tricks again. Its EXACTLY what he and the manager were saying before the Sakho signing, then suddenly we stump up 26 million quid.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

When considering Sorloth, I find it interesting to compare him with players like Glenn Murray and Yannick Bolasie. I wonder how either of those to would have fared had we been where we are now when we signed them. My hunch is Murray would initially have struggled terribly. I mean he did initially in the championship, and the pressure would be multiples higher in the prem. And yet, he cut it. And had he not had his injury, maybe he'd still be playing up front for us today as he'd have carried on where he left off for us in the championship. Likewise Yala. So many flaws, but many of them either concealed or ironed out by working his bollocks off. He'd have been dumped overnight if we got him for peanuts from some lower league side and he hit the kinds of terrible crosses that he sometimes did. And may would have slagged him off. Just like many Everton fans actually did. It's so EASY to dismiss a player who's making his way. And Sorloth for sure has many serious flaws to fix...but maybe he will do precisely that. I think he has respectable pace over 30/40 yards, good awareness when in possession, and okay physicality (despite being a little weak in the air)...I believe in him. (And never called for Benteke to be benched).
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |
