It does appear some food has properties which have serious benefits according to some research although not sold as a 'cure'. A few of the cancer cell killing nutrients in vegetables: There is a lot of evidence that certain foods can kill cells. That is a long way from a cure. Vitamin C in particular has had a lot of research. That is in addition to other treatments. Also the dose was several hundred times more than you could possibly get through diet. So lets not kid ourselves that eating a few more parsnips is going to cure you.

There is a lot of evidence to suggest that eating moe veg and less red meat/processed meat is a really good idea for avoiding a whole range of illnesses including cancer, heart disease, diabetes.

I refer you to previous pages where I clearly said the amount and quality of meat that we eat is the issue, not meat itself

Cure cancer? Bulls***. So that would be to process meat products as opposed to plant based that are mainly digested quickly? Eating meat tradition? Yes of course, 2 million years of "tradition" I was exactly in the same mindset as you, about 5 months ago, so i can completely understand your mindset - something that is so close to our hearts, we dont want to ever question or change, but its reality sadly. I'm not saying it does cure cancer, purely that it CAN, and has been proven to. Don't get me wrong, eating meat for survival is what I would do too, if we needed it to survive, and is what our ancestor Hunter-gatherers did. But 80% of their diets came from grains and wholefoods. Tradition has only been of the past 250 years. Look at the past Kings and queens, the ones who all died of illnesses, their meat consumption was through the roof - why? Because the could afford it. The only difference now is there are more Kings and Queens that can afford to consume said product. Lowest rates of cancer are found in rural China, rural Japan, parts of rural Africa. Nutrition experts studied for years and attributed this to a plant-based diet. Where are rates of cancer most pertinent? Where meat consumption is highest, U.S.A, U.K.... W With regards to the digestive system point, please just read and educate yourself. I will never be able to 'convert' you, nor will I try to, I believe if people want to change they must do so themselves, educate themselves and read about the subject. There is suitable evidence regarding the composition of our teeth, to our digestive tract, to why our diets require large amount of fibre (a nutrient which is absent in animal products). Osteoporosis is another one that some health academics even DIRECTLY attribute to meat consumption

My aunt used to take the piss out of me for being a vegan, till her husband got cancer and the doc put him on a vegan diet I have had lung cancer which half my lung was removed.. I was NOT put on Vegan diet. I also had prostate cancer 16 years ago which I had 3 ops and radiotherapy which put it into remission until last year when it came back again and I am having injections and tablets to combat it. STILL no vegan diet was prescribed so in all I think what you say about a cancer cure by going on a vegan is a load of b0llocks. I will stick with my oncologist and the treatment he is giving me.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |
