The important thing with any player is that the club get them insurance underwritten for obvious reasons. The higher the value then the higher the risk to the insurers so the medical would I have thought be more stringent, hence the increased time frame. No proof of this just a thought.

The first that you may have heard of it was in Sam's presser yesterday but many others will recall that he was withdrawn from the Sunderland squad just before a match on medical advice three or four months ago. Yup. Withdrawn v Spurs about fifteen mins before kick-off, looked confused as f*ck as to why he was taken out of the starting line up.

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

GRRRR!! ........Source:- Croydon advertiser - It seem it's a matter of time before Patrick Van Aanholt is announced as a Crystal Palace player. The Dutchman has been to Selhurst Park this lunchtime to meet Sam Allardyce and have official club photographs, it is understood. Furthermore, Van Aanholt has now left SE25 and is believed to be completing extra paper work, having finalised a medical on Friday after he was given permission by Sunderland.Palace will hope to announce the news as soon as possible, while many had expected the news to come out ahead of today's FA Cup clash with Manchester City. The deal is not yet done, but Palace will be looking to iron out the final details in the next 24 hours.

We've agreed terms with Sunderland, I presume personal terms are sorted as otherwise what would be the point of a medical? He's had a medical, the shirt-holding picture is done. What the fcuk is there to 'iron out'?
