The reason he is not a good signing is because he won't stay fit. Waste of money. What i think of him as a person has nothing to do with the fact thst i don't rate him.

Well over hyped.

Everyone rates players differently etc so let's leave it at that? You have your opinion on him and I have mine.

You are welcome to free speech on this site, and are for what it's worth .. Correct in all aspects.

Let's just hope he has a disrupted season with niggling injuries so we don't end up regretting this.

It's interesting that bigger Premier League clubs than Palace and Bournemouth weren't interested.

He needs to play every week to see where he is at ,fitness wise and ability wise . OK we have seen him be very good but not over a sustained period . It would I'm sure be part of any deal that he plays when fit .

Of the clubs who showed interest only Bournmouth ticked those boxes .

this site just gets better & better.

Nothing to do with "this site" on this occasion, it's a valid opinion and one shared by many, including myself. The fact that you've used England as some kind of benchmark speaks volumes! Id suggest that "on his day" you could build a team around Scott Dann, Wilfred Zaha or Jason Puncheon. I don't rate Wilshire at all, he's lightweight and spends as much time on the floor as Johnny Williams, can't tackle, can't run, can't head, but deemed as "class" because a few times a season he plays a sublime 30 yard ball nobody is expecting...because the rest of his game is bang average. Factor in his temperaments and I really don't think it's worth the gamble. He'll fit in well at Bournemouth with their style and will stand out in a fairly average team-we are better than them and adamant he wouldn't here. I'm relieved.

I was thinking about this earlier this afternoon and my initial thoughts were that he would be one hell of a signing, but not long after that someone showed his injury list in the last 2 years and it's quite extensive, added to that I believe Arsenal wanted his 80k wages paid plus something in the region of 2mil loan fee. Now if he stays fit then great for Bournemouth, but the law of averages suggest be won't. That's a hell of a lot of money to have laying on the injury table. Possibly one gamble we could of done with out. But this truly has been an unbelievable transfer window.

I thought he might be on more than £80k. I thought he might be in the Benteke, Cazorla, Ozil and Alexis Sanchez top end of £140k but some sites also say £80k or £90k. An article a while ago says Man City were going to offer an increase to £140k so a current wage of £80k or £90k sounds likely. Apparently Parish would have paid 3/4 of wages and a few mil in loan fees but Bournemouth 100%. Also after thinking about it Arsenal might have leaned on him over that extra £20k over 40 weeks and he can act the business in small town clubs with Afobe.

Nobody knows whether this would've been good or a bullet dodged until we get to the Spring and how many games he's played so pointless arguing really.
